You are quite correct.  The crane balances well without a load, using
four large wheels and two motors as counterweights.  But loaded, and
with the load fully extended, the balance tips over.  At full extension,
it can probably not lift much at all.

Indeed, yes.  I probably have enough parts, but I didn't take care about
colour when making it.  I regret that now, of course, but I wouldn't
want to build it all over again.

(...) I finally got to see the page . Great work! As I was sorting Some new sets to day I thought about the Balance of the crane . Is there a way you could let hte counter weight on the beam move in and out either same as the car/grab. or maybe even (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)
