WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Shaun Sullivan
Hi all, I finally got hold of a digital camera to take some pictures of the Panzer III tank I finished a couple of weeks ago. The pictures can be found on Brickshelf at: (URL) also finished my German Ju-87B Stuka Dive Bomber, and put pictures of it (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general) !

(...) I think you should go to bed- it's 2 in the morning! I know you've already heard me ooh and ahh over these, but dang, are they cool. eric (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Shaun Sullivan
Thanks Eric, I've appreciated your comments all along. It bears mentioning again (I posted about it when I replied to your Project 1138 airplane) that the pilot's seat in the Stuka is a direct ripoff of your fabulous quilted fabric airplane seat. I (...)          Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Shaun Sullivan
Thanks! I originally had the tank all in light grey, but I decided to opt for the contrast of the two-tone color scheme. I wanted it to come across looking like the splotchy camo patterns that were hastily applied. The tracks are indeed (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Brad Hamilton
That Stuka is awsome! That's a very difficult thing to model in LEGO because of all the funny curves, but your design really mimics the actual shape nicely. Brad Shaun Sullivan <shaun_sullivan@irco.com> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Mladen Pejic
Amazing Shaun! Like I said in previous posts or e-mails (can't remember), all your WWII models are divine; the level of detail and accuracy is amazing, and the way you've handled all the curves and angles is excellent too. (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Jason S. Mantor
Shaun, The Stuka is amazing ! IMHO, your best model yet and that's saying something because your other stuff is great. -Xanthra47 PS. Do you take requests ? Since you're done with German hardware, how 'bout at B-17G Flying Fortress ? I had to ask : (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Shaun Sullivan
Thanks! I'm very pleased with how it turned out - getting the gull-wing shape the way it looks now took over three weeks exclusively, during which time I refused to work on any other aspect. Once I stumbled upon the design, the rest took about a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Shaun Sullivan
I had the same problem ... try going to (URL) (if the link doesn't work, try typing it in ...), and then clicking the link at the bottom of the page. I'm not sure why it doesn't seem to work going directly there, but I had to mess around with it (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —George Haberberger
Shaun, I like the Stuka, and even the canopy looks good. I've though about modeling WWII planes, but I always get stuck on the canopies. George (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —A. Mark Wilburn
(...) I always just thought you were that guy with the great Star Wars walkers (especially that AT-AT... I've nominated your AT-AT site thrice for CLSOTW, but to no avail, apparently).          Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Shaun Sullivan
Thanks Mark, If I manage to do it, it's not going to be easy to walk away from the WWII constructions. And if I do, I have to admit it probably won't be permanent. As I mentioned in another post, I have to even out my forces at some point - I'll (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka —Magnus Lauglo
(...) In the past I had made a few tracked tanks and APCs. I didn't have enough of the track pieces so I had to fill in a few gaps with the really thin chain type. It didn't look good at all, but it was all I could do. Too bad I never took any pics (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)
