RE: New MOC: Hummer —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Thanks! (...) They're the same size, and lower profile. a 4x4 circle is almost exactly the right size...unfortunately, they don't look very good as wheels/tires, and they're too close in size to the tires I used for LEGO to have made tires (...)         Re: New MOC: Hummer —Karl Martinson
The wheels don't look too bad. I really like the doors. Does anyone else like Humvees better? I think that the full-cab look is just better looking. At the moment I'm working on a '78 Firebird in the same scale. lets hope I can pull it of 8) <<KM>> (24 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

RE: New MOC: Hummer —Bram Lambrecht
(...) I'm not sure I understand what you mean. I know that the Hummer comes in four commercial models (and that's about all I know about them): 2-door hardtop 4-door hardtop (My model) 4-door softop wagon What's the difference between a Humvee and a (...)          Re: New MOC: Hummer —John D. Forinash
(...) My guess would be he's differentiating between the civilian vehicle, a Hummer, and the military vehicle, the HMMWV. But other'n that, I dunno. -JDF (24 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: Hummer —Karl Martinson
I thought they were called humvees. They're a 4 door, but they don't have a box. Just about a 70 degree slope down to the back. It's the kind you always see on TV, in music videos, etc. I'm afraid the firebrid had to get scrapped. I tried for an (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

RE: New MOC: Hummer —Bram Lambrecht
(...) OK. I guess Humvees are the military vehicles and Hummers are civilian. Since mine doesn't have a mahine gun and I used Hummer photos for reference, I guess it's still a Hummer (That might make it GM instead of AM General though, I'm not (...)      (...) have most of the front end built. It's looking to be model team scaled. I am thinking of trying to make another, more minifig friendly version in a 6 stud wide scale. I'll post pics soon. (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: Hummer —A. Mark Wilburn
(...) I have to agree; you and Jay both rock at Minifig vehicles. I had started to build a hummer ages ago, but gave up (the windows I used forced it to be 8 wide, and I just couldn't quite make it look right. But yours and Jay's make me wish I'd (...)         RE: New MOC: Hummer —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Mine is approximately the same scale as my 8 wide vehicles...the Hummer is a very wide vehicle, after all. (...) An intentional optical illusion :) The bottom of a 1x1 round plate is larger than the top stud, so I put the light in backwards. (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: Hummer —A. Mark Wilburn
(...) Yeah, I noticed that; what I meant was looking at yours and Jay's really make me want to go 1-2 wider, but I can't really because then it'd be wider than my semi's! (...) Oh, I thought I had implied that along with the small Technic wheels, I (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)
