Thank you very much for your kind words!
Both of you were right by the way: I used a 4x9 tapered wingplate for the
lowerside of the nose(so no holes remain on the bottom of the nose) and I
used 1x8 tiles on topof the tapered nose to get the nose effect.
I also made a pulling rod inside the nose to keep it from moving (yes that
rod was seriously difficult to build for it was a half stud connection).
Anyway thanks again for you input, constructive critisism makes me want to
build better stuff.
Greetz,
Jay

X-Wing is very nice as well.

It looks like that's not a 4x9 wing piece- the underside structure would
collide with the studs on the top of the hinge pieces on the sides at the
front end.  (You like that sentence?  It makes sense-- no, really!)  It
looks like 1x8 tiles making up the upper surface of the tapered area.

This may be a little on the slow side for a reply, but I have to completely
agree with Mark 'Muffin Head': your minifig Star Wars efforts are as good as
they come. In terms of capturing the original designs in ABS in minifig
scale, your latest stuff (X-Wing, Ties) are right up there with Shaun
Sullivan's walkers. (For the X-Wing, I had thought of mimicking the UCS
X-Wing's tapered nose effect as well in minifig, but it never occured to me
to try it without the use of the 4x9 tapered wing plate -- the way you
achieved the tapering looks much sleeker!)

I don't have my Dark Empire comics in front of me, but I think your E-Wing
looks dead-on as well. Great likenesses.
