Sam I can assure that no LEGO was harmed in the making of any of my
creations.  No actual CUTTING or CHOPPING was done to any LEGO, it's done with
special effects CAD, like in the movies.

Sure, but isn't that missing the fun of building with Lego? I mean, if
you're not going to work with the medium, why not just use modeling clay?

I quite agree. Chopping and cutting is well....almost cheating. Besides the
fact that I have to wonder *who* would have enough of a particular part to
go cutting stuff up like there's no tomorrow, it seems merely a copout. The
real challenge is achieving the look just by using Lego pieces, in their
unadulterated form. That is what is truly impressive: an artist who can
achieve the look despite the limitations of the pieces.

But, then again, I could really care less what you do to your Legos. They're
yours, and I'm not a fanatical purist who's offended if people want to
modify them or chop them up or something.
