Chuck,
I wouldn't go so far as to say it's an illegal construction. Sometimes to
achieve a specific vision a certain creative freedom is used to get the
desired effect and result. Could you actually build it? Well, no, but then
again I'm quite certain that people who build my starships have heard of
welding and cutting, so that makes it OK.
