I hold the opinion that a little modifying here and there doesn't hurt,
PROVIDING what you make still looks like lego (most important! If people see
your piece in a pic and ask "what set did that come from?", that's great) and
also if the required look couldn't be acheived without it.

True. Again, the challenge in modifying IMHO is to remain true to lego, and to
create pieces that might be TLC's designs if they tried.
(Except for minifigs, that's something else - with figs it's sometimes fun to
make something that TLC would never make, e.g. Craig's Vampira is one of the
best figs I've ever seen, TLC would never make THAT one ;-)

| To All, I am rather curious, I have not been following too closely in terms of this discussion, but from what I saw of Jamal's ships, they don't have the bumps on them. Is there something else, or is that it? I think the ships are nice, even though (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)
