Hey Tommy,
I agree for the most part and certainly dont keep to a single scale in my own
dioramas (or even work completely to scale on many models). Selective
compression, forced perspective and other techniques are very useful and so long
as things look right together Im a happy camper. Of course a certain amount
of fixed scaling is necessary for some things such as aeroplanes where they tend
to look wrong if the ratios are off.
But... the pedant in me still gets roused when I see things described as
minifig scale but thats pedantry for you.
