Indeed. Alot of people have complained that many newer bricks are too specialized. Personally, I’m really enjoying the variety of slopes and wedges LEGO has seen fit to produce in the last few years. The new USC Batmobile certainly benefits from these bricks. I can only hope we see more useful wedges, and bricks (that new wedge plate is amazing).

The ‘89 Burton is also my favorite Batmobile. I did build one out of Lego right away after I saw the movie back in 1989, and many years later I build one again as an AFOL MOC (Which is probally more comparable to the new UCS release).

I hadn’t seen your newer AFOL one until somebody kindly pointed out to me on MOC pages. Truly inspired! Your canopy looks far better than the USC version, and its modeled after the 89 car, so it has alot going for it. Its quite detailed. I love USC sized MOCs when they are done right like yours!

Good to see that the ‘89 is so many people’s favourite. Who would have thought that this cool movie car still attracts so much attention after all those years ...

Indeed. It is a very timeless design, appropriate for the 1940s or today. It looks both classic and new. There are a few nice ones rendered in LEGO, but I would love to see more builders give it a go. The Burton version of the Batmobile just oozes with character.
