Before I built my Cube, I searched the net to know if someone has already tried
this. The 'Googlebot' found no matches. I hoped I was the first to come up with
it. You beat me to it. (I haven't found my way on LUGNET till last week !).
There is no "circle" on your cube; in your video you can clearly see when it
gets blocked. I encountered the same problem when I tried to build the cube with
elements of 4x4x4 studs.

| (...) The blocking you see is a result of some of my edge pieces not having tiles on them rather than there not being a circular inside. This results in some pieces being fractionally lower or higher then their neighbour, hence when rotating there (...) (21 years ago, 22-Nov-03, to lugnet.build)
