  Trees: how to build them?

Hi all, Can someone please help me finding ideas about tree building? I am mainly trying to build a pinetree forest for a logging camp, but large oaks and other sorts of European trees are also welcome. TIA, Pedro (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.pt)

(...) Here are a couple that I built for the new GMLTC layout: (URL) two sizes of "multi-node leaf things" (good term, Amy!) are just stacked on a piece of Technic flex tubing, and the tubing is stuck into the center of a brown 2x2 round brick. An (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.pt)

(...) That is the 'grid' layer of the 'grid and tower' system we use to build up from baseplate height to just below ground level. Check out my crude drawing here: (URL) left to right: 2x2 brick towers (between 5 and 7 bricks tall), 2x4 brick grid, (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

I have a stylized deciduous tree that I've made in this picture: (URL) you use the small Lego leaf pieces, then it looks coniferous. I used different pieces from 80's space sets for the branches: Space Robot Arm: (URL) Loudhailer: (URL) Gun: (URL) (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) GMLTC has access to something like 2 million + bricks... they use *everything* for filler. (and it kills me, too.) :) thanks, James (23 years ago, 19-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

Hello! Building trees is really an interesting aim. I've built a weeping willow (URL) a birch: (URL) better pics ain't available because I've got only a VisionCommand camera :-( Of course buildings like that are very fragile. And every time if one (...) (23 years ago, 19-Oct-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.pt)

(...) Pedro, I just came across this thread. For ideas that I've come up with -- there are 2 evergreen style trees and a couple deciduous style trees in the sub-folders here: (URL) borrowed ideas from Ben Beneke's wonderful evergreen trees: (URL) (...)   Re: Trees: how to build them?

(...) I used two simple methods to build trees for my pine forest, using the Palm Tree fronds stacked in groups of 3 to five sets. On some of them, I used barrels as trunks, and on others I used Palm tree trunks. With the palm tree trunks, you can (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.pt)
