Those are fabulous! Very much like "real" railroad layout trees. And a
much better height than out-of-the-box LEGO trees.
What does the terrain of 2x4 white bricks represent in the picture?

| (...) That is the 'grid' layer of the 'grid and tower' system we use to build up from baseplate height to just below ground level. Check out my crude drawing here: (URL) left to right: 2x2 brick towers (between 5 and 7 bricks tall), 2x4 brick grid, (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

Here are a couple that I built for the new GMLTC layout: (URL) two sizes of "multi-node leaf things" (good term, Amy!) are just stacked on a piece of Technic flex tubing, and the tubing is stuck into the center of a brown 2x2 round brick.
