  Re: SEV2

(...) Thanks, that looks like it could be it. Bram do you concur? Tim (26 years ago, 2-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.build)

  Re: SEV2

(...) I think you want 3039p15.dat. 3039exp was the name I used for 3039p15 before it was an official part. Steve -- Today, I'm happy. *Really* happy. (26 years ago, 2-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.build)

  Re: SEV2

(...) Thanks Bram I got them. I had a problem converting it to povray though, one piece 3039exp.dat was not found. 3039 is a 2x2 sloped brick and I assume this is a decorated version with a control panel on it, I've replaced it with a plain 3039 for (...)   Re: Numbers and Letters set, anyone get this?

(...) Man, I dunno. These are HUGE. 4 studs is almost the height of a minifig! They may be OK for things like theatre names going vertically or company names on the top of buildings, but at minifig scale, I don't see them as suited for much else, (...)   Re: Numbers and Letters set, anyone get this?

Yes, that would be sets 487 & 987 for the letters, and 488 & 988 for the numbers (the 400 series came in early/mid 60's, the 900 series came late 60's-early 70's). All of these sets were printed on 1x1 white bricks. I've got both of the number sets (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

RE: Numbers and Letters set, anyone get this?

Hmmm. I have an old set of letters and numbers (incomplete now) that were stamped on the sides of white 1x1 elements. I understand about the need for a "pure" LEGO solution, but it's amazing what a bit of Letraset or even an inkjet printer on sticky (...)   Re: Numbers and Letters set, anyone get this?

(...) Hey Larry, We can split a set of these, if you'd like? I am working on building a few 1920's Movie Palaces, and these letters would be great for using on a large marquee. Let me know if you're interested. Gary Istok (26 years ago, 1-Feb-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Numbers and Letters set, anyone get this?

(...) Thanks. Construction Site ((URL) has them as well, same price, per an offline note I received from Crispin and I'd rather give them the biz... but I can't decide if I need them badly enough to spend 40+ bucks given that they're huge. ++Lar (26 years ago, 1-Feb-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Numbers and Letters set, anyone get this?

Pitsco in their new catalog has a set N779816 which is 276 tiles with sans-serif single letters. The description says they "connect to Duplo building plates and bricks". Anyone get these? How big are they? If they are 2x2 duplo studs that may be a (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jan-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: SEV2

(...) Thanks! I really like your SEV2 also... I've been thinking about doing a tank design, but have not yet been pleased with the concepts I've come up with. (...) True... but the SEV2 is armored Cav... the lightfoot is mechanized infantry. (...) (26 years ago, 30-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: SEV2

(...) I do like the Lightfoot. Wish I'd made one myself... Just from appearances, it seems like yours could beat mine in a bouldered and forested terrain, but on clearer surfaces I think the SEV2 would win because it's more manueverable. Plus (and (...) (...) Depends on how hard you work at it. The finalist in <insert name of building contest> made a *huge* carousel, with the canopy made of red roof bricks. Very cool. There's a picture in the 1999 retail catalog that I got from CA last week. It's (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)
