  Re: transforming mecha

(...) Hmm... interesting. The Vehicles are rather pretty, but the robot modes look kind of chunky and unposeable. I'm sort of picky in that I require my creations to be capable of moving at least their arms and holding a weapon. The Jetfire is very (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Kama Uzinama wrote in message ... (...) I'd consider turning up the light in POV or designing things which aren't all black, so they can be more visible in your images. -Tim (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: Tired of click hinges - use technic pins with friction

(...) Well, if you want to remain a purist, then you're welcome to keep having floppy limbs. ;^) I choose to make some concessions to necessity for the sake of being able to build larger mecha. Happy Building. ~Mark (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Just use a regular camera and then go to the store where you get your film developed and ask them to put it on a PhotoCD. Then you'll have images you can use and they'll be nice and archived as well. Cheers, ~Mark (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Thanks Matt! I don't know too much about digital camera's or really where you could borrow them since I don't use them myself, I use LDRAW and MLCAD which, escpecially the latter, are like CAD programs and let you construct your model on your (...) Hey Mladen, pretty neat mech! I knew all those Infiltrator parts were good for something! I just finished a "UCS" Imperial Shuttle, and I'm very proud of it. The problem is, I don't have a digital camera. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Website announcement and update

Hi Tony! I must say, you have some of the more creative things I've seen that seem to remain "on the edges" of Classic Space. Excellent Stuff! And I love the sense of humor with the repair droids. ;^) ~Mark (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Tired of click hinges - use technic pins with friction

Here's a little secret: Put a small, narrow strip of Saran Wrap around each end of the black friction pin. It'll work wonders for your mecha. You'll find that they can support much more weight this way. Enjoy. ~Mark (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Ah the ever popular "gestalt" transformer. I've thought about it, but I haven't attempted in recent times. Perhaps I should.... hmmmm.   Re: transforming mecha

(...) No, but it sounds like a good idea. I had an idea for a duck mecha that could walk, the fly and pull the wings in as the bottom of the boat. Then the "duck" would use a rocket to get in the air, transform, and land. Anyway, no I haven't seen (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  transforming mecha

Has anyone ever thought of making transforming mechs that also combine together? It doesn't seem too popular and the only site on the net that has anything like that is at legobot headquarters. (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
