While looking for closeout deals at Target (Orlando, FL) this afternoon, I ran across the first Technic 1999 set. It's the Police buggy (8252). I haven't built the set yet but it came with a 1999 Technic catalog and a 1999 Technic S@H insert. There (...) (26 years ago, 24-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

(...) I haven't tried this, so take this as rant only, but my guess is that you need to redesign the gear box to motorize the 8880 Supercar. See, the gear box is intended for a vehicle in which the wheels drive the motor, not the other way around. (...) (26 years ago, 24-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)
