Four new MINI models from the Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica Universe

Greetings all, it's been a while since I posted something new. Some real-life issues kept me busy, including a flat movement to another city. Now it's time to come back to building. :-) While most of you might know me for building Star Wars MINI (...)   Re: Yankee Stadium - really darn big

(...) Great work! Could you describe how your collaboration with the grade-schooler got started and how it works? Judy M. (16 years ago, 23-Sep-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Re: Yankee Stadium - really darn big

(...) Awesome as usual. Now if you could get a real table out of the locker room or somewhere from the stadium itself to display it on--that would be really kewl, also. Tommy Armstrong (16 years ago, 22-Sep-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Yankee Stadium - really darn big

All: For almost three years, I've been working on a sculpture of Yankee Stadium together with a Manhattan grade-schooler. It's only a few months away from being complete. I don't normally post photos of my LEGO creations before they're finished, but (...) (16 years ago, 22-Sep-08, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  Dark Side of the Moonbase

Before you look at this MOC, I suggest putting on a little music. I suggest something debaucherous. Perhaps 'Girls, Girls, Girls', 'Wild Side', or 'Dr. Feelgood' by Motley Crue? I'll wait while you put that on... Still waiting... Ok, back now? Good! (...) (16 years ago, 21-Sep-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: 50th anniversary of the Smurfs

(...) Nice work Maarten. Did you contact the relatives of the creator (Peyo) abouth this virtual model, Could be interesting to know what they think abouth this model. You never know they ask you to make such a statue for one or another musea? (...) (16 years ago, 20-Sep-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Hello Primus, Nice to hear you still active, and your one lucky guy for doing the things you really like for work. I will be keeping an eye on the site. Roland (16 years ago, 11-Sep-08, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: What happend with brickcommander.com

Hi Roland & everybody else who is wondering what is going on (or NOT going on anymore) at www.BrickCommander.com! Yes, I am obviously still alive – and no, I have not lost my interest in LEGO. On the contrary! But first things first. For several (...) (16 years ago, 11-Sep-08, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Tenacious Class Guided Missile Boats.

Re: A simple but colorful sea diorama

(...) High praise indeed, Brendan, coming from a master of biblical dioramas! "Any resemblance to actual fish, living or deep fried, is purely accidental." Dave S. (16 years ago, 28-Aug-08, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: A simple but colorful sea diorama

Very nice scene. Having tried my hand at an underwater diorama myself, I appreciate the challenge, but this looks great. Very clever construction on the various fish types. -Brendan (16 years ago, 27-Aug-08, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: A simple but colorful sea diorama

(...) Thanks, Dave! Any resemblance to actual fish was purely accidental, but I'm glad you saw some familiar faces! The coral was the most challenging part, especially trying to figure how to make it "branch" in a realistic way. Dave S. (16 years ago, 26-Aug-08, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: Sturmgeschutz - 7626 Jungle Cutter alternate model

(...) What a cute assault tank! Vool how you were able to represent the fume extractor at the end of the barrel. Nice job of capturing the look of the real thing: (URL) (oh - and IANAN) (16 years ago, 25-Aug-08, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: A simple but colorful sea diorama

(...) This rocks my socks. You managed to get my favorite salt-water fish in there (Angelfish and Clownfish). I like the use of the clear supports to move the fish out into space. It gives the diorama a lot of depth. The colors are fantastic and (...) (16 years ago, 25-Aug-08, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)
