  Re: Captain Lucky

(...) Very good! All that's missing is a pair of eyepatches for the good Cap'n. (Those chinstrap heads are vool for soldiers - I'm contemplating converting all my troops...) Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 7-Mar-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Captain Lucky

It's been awhile since I made a vignette. I found a new use for those Rebel minifig heads today: (URL) "Big Daddy" Nelson (17 years ago, 7-Mar-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: MECH BAY 13 - Big Blue breaks out!

(...) From what I see of Big Blue he looks like a total jackanape which is very fitting for his breaking out. Would some links to non-negative pictures be available? Tim (17 years ago, 5-Mar-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MECH BAY 13 - Big Blue breaks out!

Re: The Beetle and the Lion

Hey those green parts are really nice! I wish I had some of those parts. They work well on your creation. That mine clearing version is well done. I took some time to see your other works as well. Keep up the good work! Eric Sophie (17 years ago, 27-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Stonehenge and Chichen Itza

(...) I think your wife gave you some great advice, the "as is" version is nicely done. I really enjoyed it. Great work Tony. Janey "Red Brick" (17 years ago, 23-Feb-08, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.org.us.texlug, FTX)

My first MOC - town block

One town block with buildings in various architectural styles. From classic to modern... all buildings are my own design, except for cafe corner and market street. I hope you like it! I didn't have time to edit all the images, so please try to (...) (17 years ago, 20-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Three MOCs - space, trains and a vignette

(...) Thanks Richie. It's unfortunate the two-toning doesn't show so well on the photo as it does in real life. (...) Might be able to work that to make a good mullet. (...) It took a lot of thought. --snip-- (...) Thanks. (...) Unfortunately I've probably forgotten half of them. I remember that having a realistic background can add a lot to an 'lifelike' render. (...) Hi, Paul. Yes, those are indeed (URL) Clikits> pieces. My first use of such. Brendan - Where did the 'cakes' come from? Are they Clickits? I like the photoshop work on the six-fingered giant! I also like the head used for Shimei, and the way you built the donkey. Paul Sinasohn (17 years ago, 19-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Stonehenge and Chichen Itza

These were built for the upcoming March 2008 "Around the World in 80 Days" themed TexLUG display. I think I did a pretty decent job, considering I'm working with inventory scraps and leftovers.   Re: Roof question

(...) I have tried 2 workarounds for the lack of such a piece: 1. Fill in the valley where such piece would go with one 1x3 slope plus 1x1 plates and tiles to approximate. (I like Tim's mention of the new 1x1 slopes here). Result: not too great. 2. (...) (17 years ago, 17-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Re: AMCP and Mecha at BrickFair

Hi Magnus, that sounds like a wonderful plan. I think the AMCP is a fun project and I hope this year you have great display.   AMCP and Mecha at BrickFair

Hi all Mecha builders, I have been asked to organize a Apocalyptic Mecha City Project (AMCP) display for BrickFair in Northern Virginia this summer.   Indiana Jones Lego Store Display

Since it's very unlikely that the tank would be done for the Indiana Jones sets, I tried to do my version of it based from pics that I found in the book From Star Wars To Indiana Jones.   Re: Roof question

(...) Angling some wing plates is the only solution I'm aware of and it's not that great IMO. Basically it's a nasty problem. You may be able to try something tricky with 1x1 slopes too. Tim (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

  Re: Roof question

(...) Duane, a 3x3 (double concave) 33 degree "valley" slope has not yet been produced by LEGO. Neither has a 1x2 (triple) 33 degree half pyramid roof peak, nor the parts needed for an "L" or "T" roof ridge. So that makes it difficult to produce a (...)
