Im working on my first house-type model and have a roof question for you
experienced town-builders.
Unfortunately, I cannot use the roof slopes for this project, because the
roof is sloped at 30 degrees rather than 45 degrees, and has a valley-type
intersection (see the areas labeled v in this picture at Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Rf-iso1.gif). If LEGO only had 33-degree
double concaves like the 45-degree ones, Id be all set.
The intersection of the two roof segments are at a 90-degree angle, as in
that Wikipedia picture.
I need to sit down and play with this for a while this weekend, but I figured
I would also check with folks here to see if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks!

Duane, a 3x3 (double concave) 33 degree valley slope has not yet been produced
by LEGO. Neither has a 1x2 (triple) 33 degree half pyramid roof peak, nor the
parts needed for an L or T roof ridge. So that makes it difficult to
produce a decent looking roof slope using the 33 degree roof system.
The only solution I can think of is this... use plates... mainly 2x2, 2x3 and
2x4 plates (larger 2x wide plates if you want them), and a few 1x2 plates.
The plates will provide you with the same 33 degree low slope roof angle that
you need, and also give the roof a texture (due to the studs). Its not the
ideal answer, but the only one I can think of for roofs of that angle slope, and
Ive been building for over 30 years.
I also wish that LEGO would produce a 2x3x3 (double concave) 75 degree valley
slope... sigh...
Cheers,
Gary Istok
