  Re: WWE Superstars in LEGO

(...) Nice work. Now let's see the classics.... Iron Sheik, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Jimmy "Superfly" Snooka, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Danny Davis (the corrupt referee), and my favorite, George "The Animal" Steele. (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  Re: Building Robopussy

(...) I've always thought it was: Mech = big robot with a human pilot, no gun. Mecha = big robot with a human pilot, big gun. I don't really grok mechs/mechas that much though, so I am probably wide of the mark there. Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Building Robopussy

(...) It's great to finally see cartoony stuff in mecha again. It reminds me of the stuff Felix makes. There was another guy that made something similar with action figure inspired commandos. Your moc doesn't look very feline though. It kinda looks (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Building Robopussy

(...) Ah. Okay. I was going to suggest that having a look at a real cat might be helpful to get the look right, but if that's not what you're aiming for, then you are probably on the right track. (...) Ah. Right. Yes, I guess if something has (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Building Robopussy

(...) Vool looking so far! Since there may not be enough female minifigs, maybe your MOC will now shed light on the lack of female mechs (or is that mechas? I never remember). (...) Maybe some big eyelashes? Or some red blush on the cheeks? (...) (...) (17 years ago, 12-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Building Robopussy

(...) There's always the possibility that that's exactly the look I'm going for. If there's one thing I've learned about building cat mecha, is that they don't necessarily have to resemble an actual cat.Sometimes a more subtle suggestion of catness (...)   Re: WWE Superstars in LEGO

Brendan, I have been a huge wrestling fan for many years, these are great. Rick Flair is my personal favorite, perfect face for him :). And I just love your version of ring ropes in the background, you always show an amazing attention to detail. (...) (17 years ago, 12-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  Re: Building Robopussy

(...) -snip- (...) Nice work, Al. The (back) legs don't strike me as being particularly feline in look or proportion, though... the feet have potential, but at the moment they give me the impression of a man wearing 'monster slippers'. I'm really (...) (17 years ago, 12-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Building Robopussy

Inspired by the recent robo-quad opus, and particularly (URL) this comment> on it, I am building a feline mecha of my own. Also inspired by the robo-quad, I will post the progress of the model in stages Stage 1 - Head - COMPLETED! I generally build (...)   Re: WWE Superstars in LEGO

(...) Haha, these are awesome! I haven't been an avid fan of Rasslin' for a few years, but I was still able to identify a good percentage of these. Mick Foley's is my favorite. Love the Socko. -Adrian (URL) (17 years ago, 11-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  WWE Superstars in LEGO

I'm not too proud to admit that over the course of the past year my girlfriend and I have gotten pretty into watching WWE wrestling. Last weekend we spent a day creating minifig versions of a bunch of our favorite WWE superstars and other wrestling (...)   Re: The Brick Testament - David vs Saul

(...) Thanks! (...) Those are the very same pillars seen in Saul's throne room. Modular building is fun. (...) Yeah, I tired out numerous configurations of elements to try to get a nice fan shape for the spears and that was the one that looked best, (...) Hi, Bruce. (...) Hey, I thought I'd finally slipped one right past you! :) Always nice to have your comments. (...) It's an honor. Nice post, by the way.   Re: The Brick Testament - David vs Saul

Awesome work as always Brendan. Interesting way to use hinge bricks for minifigs, it's surprising you didn't do so earlier (as far as I remember). On a separate note, gay men the world over have used the "Jonathan & David" couple for centuries as an (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - David vs Saul

Hey Brendan, Another great outing. Pin the spear on the minstrel - I like the inset pillars on the wall of Saul's main hall. Also, the spear decoration is a nice idea, but I'm not 100% on the execution. I wish the clips for the third and fifth (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - The final Acts

Hey Brendan, Oops, your most recent installment (David and Saul) made me remember that I'd never commented on the Final Acts. Paul in Athens - In the first pic I really like the microscale Accropolis, and I featured it on (URL) MicroBricks>. In the (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)
