  Imperial Airboat and Launcher

(2 URLs) BS> (URL) Flickr> (URL) Hi all, Presenting the Berlin launchpad for Tsar Alexander II's Imperial Air Navy. I haven't done any "steampunk" in a while mainly because I'm a (near) total pedant when it comes to viability of the designs. (...)   Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) Hi Magnus, I myself don't really mind the studs, but indeed, replacing plates with tiles on the intakes would probably look good. I'll see whether I can find the right parts. As I wrote in another message in this thread, the nose was (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) Hi Dave, My love affair with the Jolly Rogers' Tomcat started a long time ago as well. As a child I had a model kit of this same aircraft. I've had a LEGO Tomcat ever since I was a teenager and while I changed its markings over time, the Jolly (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) It's relatively flexible plastic, from a document cover, which I carefully cut into shape and which is held in place with adhesive tape. I strated doing this years ago, and despite LEGO now producing somewhat better canopies (such as the one (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) this particular plane at least twice! I remember how I thought that it was just so awesome that the skull & crossbones logo was sported on the tailfins. Your appreciation for the decals in plastic model kits is very evident here, and gives me (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

Request: 1/19 scale tank/heavy machinery for PDX

Hi I've usually a lurker on lugnet, but as Brickfest PDX nears I figure its time to speak up. I'm hoping to bring a 14-wide model semi with lowboy in the Model Team style to this brickfest. I've been building it for almost a year, and should have it (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Bridging Sydney - Complete!

(URL) Well, after months of planning and 2 weeks of building, the project is finally complete! With lots of help from Anna (LEGO Aus), Carmel (HHT), Richie & Steve (STUDS) and the bunch at the Museum of Sydney, it all came together relatively (...)   Re: Jaguar Main Battle Tank and variants

Mladen, (...) Thanks, I somehow wondered if you'd get a kick out of this! (...) I suppose another problem might be that since the guns are off-centre, the recoil would jerk the turret to the right or left a bit, which could be uncomfortable for the (...)   Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) I know nothing about aircraft, but I do know this model is fantastic! Lots of excellent building techniques. The cockpit and landing gear catch my eye right away, as to the different layers that make up the wings. Another stunning replica from (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  A Little Fun

Just seeing how much "mileage" I can get out of a simple model. ;o) Super-duper mini balloon tires, for the frugally-minded: (URL) Oops: (URL) Okay, you amazing train-buildy-people, I don't think I've seen an engine quite like this one out of (...)   Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) It looks excellent! I'm a big fan of the windshield, how did you make it? Is it stiff plastic or flexible? (Yes I'm considering making a custom windshield for one of my own mocs) Nice work on the landing gear also. Have you ever tried studs (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

Ralph, Very nicely done (again)! You've used limited but helpful SNOT techniches and come away with a great model. The nose especially is just beautifully done, and I like the missile designs. And you've clearly come up wotha very smooth way to fold (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

Your design rekindles some sweet memories of watching eagles take off doing a 90 degree climb with afterburners. Every detail is perfect on (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

Hello Nelson! I cool Idea the Cheese Bots! I like the Nacho Bot very much! Great creation! It looks like a robot lion. Amazing! I think about a rebuild in Blacktron Style... Regards Dan (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: WIP - Red Quad

Hello Eric! (...) The legs show a high flexiblity! Great! Why are there wheels on the feets? Are there wheels so that they feets legs do not slipping away?   Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) Hi Dave, Thanks for the comments. I too was into building model kits, as well as building with LEGO.
