Heads up troopers! Everybody head over to this real quick, don't worry I'll wait. (URL) Pretty clever, eh? (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Anime USA

Hi folks. On the weekend of November 17th-19th, members of Mechahub had a mecha display requested by the animecon, Anime USA. It was held at the Sheraton in Tyson's Corner, VA. Yes, it was the same hotel for this past Brickfest. Builders present (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: MCP - Mecha City Project

(...) A couple of years ago I did one for a WWII setting. I recall it was pretty fun to start building it as if it were whole and healthy, and then let the form degenerate into chaos as I went along: (URL) (click to link to folder) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: MCP - Mecha City Project

(...) BrikWars games are often set against war-torn urban dioramas, so you could browse some of the (URL) BrikWars Fan Sites> to get ideas. Warning: Most BrikWars games depict some carnage, so you might want to wait a half hour after your most (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Beetle Bay

Now that is cool! I like the sleek, sparse, almost medical looking setting and equipment and the bettle compliments the bay perfectly. Great work! (...) I should have known... a room full of bugs... ; ) God Bless, Nathan (who supports MAC Mecha..) (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: MCP - Mecha City Project

(...) Jim, Mark, Dan, and Chris did some of this at last year's Brickfest. Here is a photo I have of that that shows some moonbase destruction, I'm sure there are better pics out there of it. (URL) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Beetle Bay

Well, as (URL) 'promised'>, I managed to get the Beetle Bay finished for the Brislug meeting on Sunday, and Tim managed to soldier on through a hangover of fairly epic proportions to bring along his Christmas Beetle. I kinda overestimated the size (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

Re: LEGO multi-media bathroom T-P holder

(...) A light sensor placed very close to the cardboard of the roll would work better wouldn't it? and an arm connected to a touch sensor that would trigger when the arm moved down just enough would work better :p Cheers, Matt (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Laptop cooling platform MOC

(...) Nice idea! :) If I may, a suggestion: remove the front supports and replace with some internal triangular bracing if possible, then you can store notes and other things underneath the lappy - good on you for using znap as well, the ugly (...)   Re: The Brick Testament - More Teachings of Jesus

(...) Hi, Karl. Thanks for your thoughts. By "most recent installment", I assume you're referring to the Teachings of Jesus stuff from a month ago and not any of the many King Saul stories I've done since then, yes? I suppose the George W. Bush (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - More Teachings of Jesus

(...) Hi Brendan, I've been away from lugnet for a couple months... so this is (I think) fairly unrelated to the 69 message mania that went before (I didn't read it all). As usual, BPS, you have managed to put together some very well assembled and (...) (18 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: MCP - Mecha City Project

(...) This sounds like an awesome idea!! The combination of train/town/mecha to make a diorama of a war-torn city. Are there ay examples of what a war-torn building would look like in Lego? I can think of a number of games that would give good (...) (18 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: MCP - Mecha City Project

Hey, This looks great and I look forward to seeing the combined display. One question: The standard only talks about streets and sidewalks. What about the rest? I assume that buildings should be on 32x32 baseplates, built up to the height of the (...) (18 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  MCP - Mecha City Project

The MechaHub has announced the specs for its MCP (Mecha City Project). The idea of the project is to build a large war-torn city to use as a diorama to display Lego Mecha at BrickFest 2007.   Re: More military MOCs

Dave, (...) Thanks for your kind words. Interiors on any minifig-scale vehicle are tricky. because as soon as you want to fit minifigs inside, you start wrestling with all sorts of scaling issues. Ultimately I go for a compromise between aesthetics, (...) (18 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: More military MOCs

(...) I think that I like these quite a bit! The color scheme is rich and eye-pleasing, and I particularly like the design of the treads. Also, the presentation is good and gives a nice view of the the vehicles from all sides. I also like that you (...) (18 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.build.military)
