  Re: The Un-Vigs

(...) Be aware of the "Lego doesn't make"-trap, you never know what might be hidden in one of less conspicuous corners of the Brick Realm: (URL) a plain-and-simple minifig hand poses as a pretty convincing brush also: (URL) please do clik "up" in (...)   Re: The Brick Testament - The Teachings of Jesus

--SNIP== (...) Not quite true. You could fit two minifigs in a car very slightly smaller than six wide (big maybe 5.5 wide, more easy 5.8 wide) but for all practical purposes six wide is the smallest. Tim (18 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - The Teachings of Jesus

(...) Tim, even at 6' that proportional waist size would make John Candy look like an Olsen twin. But you're right, there's no reason to even pretend you can truly build in minifig 'scale.' (As to the comment you made about two 200 pound people (...) (18 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) I saw "Interminable" before - I thought it was pretty great, and the haiku makes it perfect. Thanx for your comments Jeffery MacEachern (4 URLs) (18 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) Thank you Sigurd! Your comprehensive mechaincal models have always been an inspiration to me. When I first started the orginal internal cam driven chaise, I thought of models like yours and others that tackled the issues of motion and (...) (...) Hey wow, those mechs fold up and become cool little speeders?! Hot. I really liked seeing all the internal details. Nice work! (...) You got me beat, I never made a drop ship. A fantastic idea. I love the concept so much that I'm thinking of some possibilities myself. Well done! Linus (18 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: The Un-Vigs

(...) That was actually my idea behind (URL) this> vig, which I built a little while ago but never posted to Lugnet. A few friends and I were talking about what would be the most boring vig, and we came up with standing in line. However, I'd agree (...) (18 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  The "Caped" Penguin

And why do I call it that, you might ask? You will see... This is a quick build I did the other day while trying to figure out what to do with 2 old red plastic capes I got from a lot from Value Village. I discovered that they could make a decent (...)   The Un-Vigs

I was thinking about the whole concept of vignettes, and, as much as I like them, I felt the need to be contrary ;). So I made two vigs of the most boring sort possible, and while that is true, they are also still pretty funny. Behold! The Un-Vigs! (...) (...) Hallo Dan--wie geht's? Your English is better than our German, so there is no need to apologize. Welcome to Lugnet! (URL) (...) This is my favorite. I enjoy the design and the colors very much.   Mecha Mars Series

Hello Everybody! My Name is Dan Demmler! This is my first posting on Lugnet. I want to show you my first Mechas!   Re: The Brick Testament - The Teachings of Jesus

(...) That's kind of a startling image, to think that all my LEGO characters, from Adam & Eve to Jesus to GW Bush have all had John Candy proportions, but in some ways it seems right too. Actually, the strange thing about the minifig's girth is that (...) (18 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Three military vehicles

(...) I'm glad you like it. (...) I missed the fact that there are two 'figs in the turret. Knowing that, I think you've done an excellent job. Just remember that panels are useful in so many different orientations... Jonesy tought me that. -Duane (18 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Three military vehicles

Duane, Thanks for responding, I'm a big fan of (and very inspired by) your motorized tank! (...) Nice work! The Bulldog and Badger both have two guys in their turrets and I got them as compact (narrow) as I could. The MCV turret is seven bricks wide (...)   Re: Three military vehicles

Marc, Good to see you online, thanks for your comments! (...) The turret on the Bulldog is in front of the motor, so there isn't much space to move it back without changing lots of stuff on the inside. The barrel was built to not extend beyond the (...)   Re: Three military vehicles

(...) <SNIP> (...) Great MOC! Have you though about trying to slim down the interior portion of the turret? I've done one slightly smaller here: (2 URLs) (18 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.military)
