Usually the problem is that the treads don't find purchase as much as I'd like, but I was up til 2am last night experimenting, and think I have figured out that by adding weight to the front (...) Danny, in theory you are right, however this solution won't help much in rough terrain, as the idea of incorporating track with the vehicle is to be able to move forward when there is no such thing as a flat surface. (...) I think I've fully explored tracked chassis building and it's a dead end. The tracks always snap. And when adding plates to the track they always come off. Nice! I am particularly impressed by the huge age difference between the parts in this little model. Not many people even know that those semi-crcular arcs without notches exist, and I reckon very few actually have them in their collection. Hmm. (...)
