Re: A goat. Sometimes I'm close to despair.

(...) lol! That's adorable. The head is particularly fine. I love how the ears, if viewed on diagonal, look as though there may be heavy, bushy eyebrows. The udder is very clever. Butt, you do know that goats have only two teats, right? (^^) I can't (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jul-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

A goat. Sometimes I'm close to despair.

Hello! When I got my first Viking the first vague thought looking at those horns was something like "....goat....". So I built one. I quickly made several designs for the goat's head and for its body. Then I faced the problem: Hot to attache the head (...)   The First Joe Vig Contest - Comments

I wasn't going to post any comments on the contest entries, but there were so many good ones that I felt that it would be wrong for me NOT to do so, or at least the winning ones - so here goes: (...)   Re: T.A.U.

(...) Thanks, Peter, I'm still working on my photography. :) I agree with you , that movement for the T.A.U. would be far from efficient (that's why it's a LONG range fire support mech...LOL)! Thanks for your comments! -Jon (19 years ago, 23-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: T.A.U.

(...) I understand your position, Allister, and appreciate your input, but the idea of building this Mech was more about having fun building and trying something truly " off the wall" than focusing on what could be done in reality. However, it (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) snip (...) Actually, Dave, I like your design quite a bit. So, you didn't take pains to get your legs at 270 degrees which I as a glutton for punishment did, big deal!I also think that your design would walk a lot better than mine. Your stuff (...)   Re: T.A.U.

(...) By that logic, humans would not be able to walk either. A tripedal unit could throw itself off balance, lift a leg, and catch itself in a more forward position--or balance itself on two legs before lifting a leg. I'm not claiming it's (...)   Re: The LEGO Revival Survey

I know this is posted to many many groups, but I really need people from all interests to help take this survey.   Re: T.A.U.

(...) Very nifty. There's lots to like about this, but the problem i have with it is that a tripedal mecha in this configuration would never be able to actually walk. In order to do that it needs to be able to lift at least one leg in the air, which (...) (19 years ago, 22-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  T.A.U.

Hello all, I submit for your perusal ( and hopefully your approval :)! ) the Tripedal Assault Unit, or T.A.U. for short. deep link: (URL) T.A.U. is a long range fire support Mecha equipped with energy weapons only.   Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all? was Re: LEGO Factory sets

Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

(...) It's not a matter of simply adding more numbers to the system. As was pointed out elsewhere, each new product brings added complexity to the system, as well as additional development costs.
