  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) I know what you mean. I rather not destroy or mutilate them. If I cannot do it with current parts then I just don't do it. I have been contemplating molds. But I think it is so much more fun to figure out ways of working with what you got. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) Somehow that just doesn't seem...right? :-) (...) Yup! Finally got a chance to use 'em. (...) Nope! I'll probably canibalize it in no time. It's taking up too many of my favorite parts. (...) Yeah maybe, but you know that doesn't matter to me. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) Thanks Mladen. I haven't been able to post for over a year and honestly didn't make the effort to straighten it out until Eric got on me about it a bit. I'll be fluttering about now. (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) Thanks Jas. It's too cool to have you post up on my topic. Your stuff is second to none! I have a lot or respect for you man! As for the model I wanted to do something totally new. I guess it succeded. Though, as I'm sure you know, I never (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) Are you talking about the tan bits? If so those are wings that you can see through the "holes". If you're talking about the axles those are ball socket (Toa arms) parts fanning out from behind (think ribcage). The cylinder parts are rocket (...)   Re: Silver Squidy, Medieval Bot, and new Mr.Ham

(...) This is totally funny to me - because my joint tech work has been motivated by a desire to avoid technic pieces at all costs. Basically, I refuse to do worm-gear joints because I think they are too difficult. (URL) Mr.Ham> is maybe my most (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Creating custom fabric elements for Lego minifigures

(...) Exactly! :) (And we all know how a bad case of dandruff reduces Pirate street cred...) (...) I recognized the phenonmenon! Thanks for answering my questions, though. (...) That's pretty much as I would have guessed, but I'm glad you did the (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.parts.mod)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) Glad to hear your designs might be available to purchase one way or the other. But that brings up an interesting question. Assuming a 5% royalty to the designer from sets created and sold through LEGO Factory, would it make financial sense to (...)   Re: The Brick Testament begins the book of Judges

Hey Brendan, Great to see the new installment: Bezek: In 1:1, I like how you are making the different tribes by changing the arm colors. Simple but effective. In 1:4, I'm not really a fan of the helmet idea (though I completely understand the (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

Firstly I must say this is one of the most original and awe-inspiring creations I have ever seen. When I saw it on Brickshelf I almost skipped past it, until I saw that it looked like a H.R. Giger sculpt! I love everything about this creation, the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Latest build after a long break!

Just like to say a big thanks to all who have commented, critiqued and viewed my latest creation. I have taken on board alot of what has been said, and made some mods accordingly, I am pleased with the results. I am going to post a more (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) I just got home and tried your solution, and then the one I proposed. Your solution didn’t work. I couldn’t get either end in between the knuckles of the ski skid. I then tried my solution with the my solution (6246a Minifig Tool Screwdriver), (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

Thanks for the kind words. I agree with you that the idea the Lego company has with regards to creating other sets would be a good one, given the substantial number of very nice creations that did not win. It would be nice to see some of my designs (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Latest build after a long break!

(...) <snip> Very nice, solid mecha. I like the studless look a lot. I'm going to agree with Jeff and say the forearms seem out of step with the rest of the mecha. Other than that, great mecha! More more more! Later, Chris (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Soren's School Girl Mech

(...) Soren has come light years since he first started building mecha. Really great work. The cell phone is right on! I like the way the skirt is done, too. Keep 'em coming! Later, Chris (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) NICE! I dislike most minifig weapons I see people make because they are either: composed of mutilated LEGO weapons, custom-made molds, or ridiculously oversized. HOWEVER...
