  Re: Taz

(...) Cool, thanks for the tips Larry! Could I do the mailing list through my regular email or is there a program I would need to get? I don't have any Microsoft mail stuff, just the mail program that comes with Juno. Bill (20 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Taz

(...) Thanks for the comments! In the prototype I used 2 black 2x2 turntable plates. But since that part isn't made in brown (for the general public anyway), I used a well placed jumper with 1x2 tiles next to it for extra support. Then I was able to (...)   Re: Cycloplin: a one-man airship

(...) Nice job, Kevin. I've never seen one one these modeled in Lego before. Where did you get the idea? Somehow, the movie Waterworld comes to mind. My favorite detail is the wizard's hat. I guess it wasn't necessary for TLC to make a one-piece (...) (20 years ago, 12-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Cycloplin: a one-man airship

(...) Lots to like there in a very small space. It's like an "air vignette"! I think my fave part is the wizard's hat. We get so used to using the cast hat that we all forget that there are other ways to make it! That's pretty clever. Are the rubber (...)   Re: Taz

(...) That's a great rendition of Taz in brick! Just curious; did you use this part: (URL) at the ankles to get the feet at the right rotation? (20 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Cycloplin: a one-man airship

Hello. I made a one-man airship. The person peddles to make the flap-dealies move, causing the whole thing to move. I used Bruce Lowells sphere. This particular cycloplin has been around for a while, so the owner, a wizard, has had to patch a few (...)   Re: Taz

(...) You can always announce the new models in lugnet.market.auction which is a group especially for announcing stuff that you have for auction. But if it's a straight sale, announce it on market.buy-sell-trade or market.brickshops instead if you (...) (20 years ago, 12-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

  Taz

Hey All! Thought I'd share one of my latest creations with everybody, the Tazmainian Devil from Looney Tunes! (URL) This was a fun one to make as I'm a HUGE fan of the Looney Tunes classic cartoons. This was made for a friend, so I just charged for (...) (20 years ago, 12-Dec-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build) !!

Re: New England Church - MOC for Lego Factory week 4

(...) Thank you. And I think I might have an answer to your dilemma. If you hit the alt key while moving the mouse, you can rotate the model to any degree. Granted, you can only look dead on while you are in the process of moving, so you will have (...) (20 years ago, 11-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Santa Claus Bust

(...) Thanks! (...) I actually started with the shoulders. I knew I wanted somewhat rounded shoulders and the beard full and curved out. I laid down some 2x4s to judge the width of the shoulders, I kept moving them out until it felt right. I built (...) (20 years ago, 11-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Santa Claus Bust

(...) Very creative and original! I like the way you've added a lot of your own personal touch instead of modeling a generic Santa. It's very cute, and cute is hard to pull off in LEGO. Great job! As another perspective, I made a Santa bust last (...) (20 years ago, 11-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Lego Factory maximum number of entries per week?

Hi all, I noticed another anomaly today in the Lego Factory contest. One contestant has a total of six entries this week, even though the rules clearly state there is a maximum of five allowed per week. The reason I noticed it is that all six (...)   Re: Santa Claus Bust

(...) Thanks! Actually the hat was one of the areas I thought still needed some work. I was thinking it needed to be a little more full. What I probably should have done was actually put a hat like this on someone and seen how it lays and curves, (...) (20 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Santa Claus Bust

(...) I think this is great. I really love the way the hat came out. Faces are hard thoa, and this one looks good, but he kinda looks like a gnome. I don't know if you were going for that or not. :) Anyway, keep up the great work! -Alfred (20 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)
