  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

(...) That's great! It looks wonderful having two of them. Brilliant idea! --Bill. (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

  Name that Mecha

Hi All, I've just completed a new mecha. I started this some weeks ago with nothing more in mind than a desire to Build Something Using Green. The first two attempts were ok, but kinda goofy looking (photos available on request), but I'm pretty (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Santa Maria della Salute in Venice

I was just looking over all the pictures on Brickshelf before you posted. This is really some build! Very nice, very detailed intricate construction. The details and just a joy to look at. Even the light bulb holder is Lego. Great work. e (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Spamcake Diner in Venice

(...) Holger! Your MOCs are amazing! I love the Floating Spamcake Diner-- what a great idea:-) And your overall rendition of Venice is astounding-- the level of detail is wonderful; certainly at the level of miniland, which is the highest compliment (...)   Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

(...) Heh. We (and by "we" I mean "I", since I was the only one moving them around during setup) actually found that when you make the mistake of picking them up by the far ends of the corridors, the central hub is self-ejecting. I'd originally (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Space MOC: The Yl8l godship

(...) Those are the handfull of survivors. The Nerdadork among them used his giant nose to sniff out an escape before the carnage. (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.scibrick, lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: Brictoria Barracks is up and running

(...) Unfortunately, not long after I took the images on the site, the main Barracks building went into renovations...Good news is that the facade is still the same...bad news is that the floors and roof are under construction (LOTS of black 1xX and (...)   Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

(...) Man is that big. It sorta has elements of Total Recall to it....it a good way of course. Using the pods as power generating chambers is a nifty idea...might have to swipe it :) Cheers, -G (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

Is it any wonder where we got the shape for the modern valentine heart? (URL) I created an identical Swan using all the left over white bricks I had. It wasn't a pretty build, let me tell you. The second swan (left) is nearly all 1xXs, and most of (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

(...) Thanks much! It also helps that I don't own that many white plates or slopes :) (...) I think the greenery will have to be silk. I'm afraid that all, and I do mean all, of my green is tied up at the moment in my village. (URL) a good idea (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

  Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

(...) In the text you mention that you used the bricks with pegs instead of bricks with peg-holes, to avoid "wasting" the connector pegs. Two questions: 1. Don't you find that the bricks with pegs are difficult to attach/detach? That's been my (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Sam-Bots and their "steeds"

(...) The trick is to start with the Rahkshi heads and work the rest of the design into them. Bricks are easy to work with, but there's so little room inside these things that your options are limited enough as it is, without having the extra (...)   Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

(...) Er, um...well, if trans-yellow or trans-flourescent yellow Bohrok eyes existed like I've been hoping for, and I'd used sand-purple instead of dark-purple, it'd be very close to Skywarp's color scheme. Purely unintentional. I used black because (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Sam-Bots and their "steeds"

(...) Hi David, Nice use of these masks, you succed in integrating them pretty well in these over sleds. The the samurai helmet the pilots wear + the flags on the back of the sled give a nice style to the overall. In a way it reminded me of Judge (...)   Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

Is it just me, or does the colour scheme of this module very reminiscent of the same colour scheme used by (nerd alert) Decepticons? Anyway, this should prove to be a very handy concoction, especially if there are a few at-hand at some conventions (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Sam-Bots and their "steeds"

(URL) I'd long considered the Rahkshi head to be an ideal piece for a "crotch-rocket" style motorcycle cowling, but it wasn't until I saw (URL) this post> that I really got it into my mind to do anything with that idea. Now I've got five more MOCs (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.technic.bionicle, FTX)

  Murasaki modular corridor system

(URL) The seeds of this idea had been floating around in my mind since I first participated in a MichLUG display, where the importance of having both multi-connection modules and the ability to adjust to last-minute changes were driven home.
