  WAMALUG monthly build challenge

The clock is ticking -- and you have just 60 minutes to build something based on this month's secret theme. Sound like fun? We think so, and that's why we're doing it again. WAMALUG will present its second monthly build challenge at 3 p.m. Saturday, (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jul-04, to lugnet.events, lugnet.build, lugnet.fun, FTX) !

  Modular Robotech Excalibur

My favorite Destroid (non-transforming mecha) from the Macross portion of Robotech was always the Excalibur, (aka Tomahawk, (URL) ; also known in BattleTech as the original Warhammer) so I decided to take my modular system for a spin with it. I'm (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: B.I. Joe: S.H.A.R.C. Flying Submarine

(...) I personally think it a great idea. I also completely agree with turning the S.H.A.R.C. from a submarine to a spaceship as its aesthetics are more aligned to a shuttle craft of some sort. And Kudos to you to making the whole darn thing out of (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Official display in Japan (found more)

Hi Manfred, Thanks for finding these links! I really love these models, especially the Mont St. Michel and the pagodas, so it's great to see larger pictures and get some information. Without text, I had thought that this picture: (URL) was supposed (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: New MOCs- Mastiff and Quadrachnid 4.0

(...) I should have posted this in lugnet.space as well as lugnet.announce- sorry about that. Todd (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Official display in Japan (found more)

I've found more information and pictures about this exibit. For most of the models shown in the posted gallery, I recognized the real life sites they represented. For instance, that middle age city Daan Bargerbos mentioned, is Mont-Saint-Michel in (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.castle, FTX) !!

  B.I. Joe: S.H.A.R.C. Flying Submarine

Greetings! Okay...finally we have a Joe model that is actually more space than military! That adorable, impossible craft from youth, the S.H.A.R.C. : (URL) Let us know what you think! Cheers, -The BIJoe team PS. The page is a test alpha for a site (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX) !

  Re: Ministry Of Information Retrieval

(...) The smack just adds to it. I'm about half way down, marveling at the scale & the scene, the kitty attack, the requisite drowning hoo--- Oh. No. You. DIIIIIIN'T. (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Modular Mini-Mechs

Very, VERY cool. I love this modular mini-mech concept. Richard Bryan. (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Ministry Of Information Retrieval

(...) Badly needed color? you talking about the multi-color bots? ;) Eric is a good friend of mine, I was just trying to keep him sane (although, that might be a moot point...) I've been to Eric's place, and that room he's got for Lego building (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Another fantastic creation Dennis! Can't wait for the details about the dragline! ROSCO (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  O'Canada!

Fellow Canadians, After seeing a large scaled Mountie in "Brickbaron's" Brickshelf folder for the Vancouver Road Show, I was compelled to build my own, but to the same scale as set 3723 (LEGO Mini-Figure Sculpture). Regrettably, his staff with a red (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca, lugnet.build, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.org.ca.vlc, FTX) !!

  Re: Micro-Maersk Container Ship

Hi, Although I'm truly inspired by micro-scale building (and I'm struggling to figure out a way to incorporate its ideals into my CAD class - i.e. scale, selective compression, abstraction, economy, etc.) what I really wanted to compliment you on (...)   Re: Scania LS111 Super with low loader and Menck dragline

(...) Dennis, you are an artist! There are so many great builders out there. It’s nice to see what Legos can really do. I enjoyed your site. Paul (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  BrickMech Spec

Man, that's fun to say. Say it out loud: BrickMech Spec!!! I've got my prelimary thoughts on a spec for building modular Mechs for my BrickMech game up at (URL) Look it over and tell me what you think! If it seems humorously technical, well then, (...)   Re: Ministry Of Information Retrieval

Oooooo. I like it! The last bastion of hope for original gray. All the little details that seem to be your best trademark just wow me. I especially like the boat. It's very simple, yet deadly efficient, just like the Iron Reich. And the "manly men (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Scania LS111 Super with low loader and Menck dragline

Hey Dennis, I said this once before in response to a Ross Neal train engine, and it applies again here: The old definition of greatness - you look at the thumbnail of a MOC and aren't sure right away that it's not a real train (or crane in this (...)   Re: Scania LS111 Super with low loader and Menck dragline

(...) Hi Dennis, I have been visiting your site a lot of time lately to see what model you were going to add to the collection. I must say, it has really been worth waiting. What a great model, its hard to see which one is the brick one and which (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Scania LS111 Super with low loader and Menck dragline

The updates are very scarce but now I found some time to add a new model to my website: It's an old Scania LS111 Super with Nooteboom low loader. (URL) It took a long time before this model was finished: about one and a half year. But I didn't built (...)
