Re: Has anybody tried to make the Asland Plaza Hotel?

My three favorite words! (...) You'd think I get tired of hearing them, given how MUCH I hear them. :-) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ky, lugnet.build)

  Re: Rose window question

Thanks for the advice! I'll let you know how the progress is going. Thats also a good idea about the white instead of the black for the "lead" between the glass. I'll most likely compromise with grey because the out side is made up of grey, black, and (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) some (...) Larry is right. Ashland is bigger than you think 27,000, not as big as some of the cities you live in but it's a good size city.(boring to. nothing to do.   Re: Has anybody tried to make the Asland Plaza Hotel?

(...) I'm just curious. How did this thread end up in the buildiing section? I thought it was only posted in the us.loc.ky section. I've noticed that several threads usally end up in different areas. What causes that? John (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ky, lugnet.build)

Re: Has anybody tried to make the Asland Plaza Hotel?

(...) And I would guess you're wrong Larry because Ashand is a not a very big town. I don't think there is a building over four stories there. I'm assuming Ashland oil built this in either Lexington or Louisville. However, I could be wrong. John (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ky, lugnet.build)

  Rose window question

A while back I swear someone posted something about making a rose window. Unfortunatly I no longer have this post. I'm in the later stages of constructing a space ship thats about 220 studs long that has the architectural elements of a gothic (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.build)

I did the man with the beard thing once, but I used an all black body and gave him the black top hat. I wasn't sure if he looked more like Abraham Lincoln or an Amish man. P.S. I'm not complaining, I thought you did a great job with only a fig to work with! How about doing something every 3 or 4 days with all the parts too?? or maybe just 1 part from each set.. I'd go for at least 4 days then so you've got 4 parts to work (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

(...) no. these are the same size as technic holes. (i'm comparing right now) the difference is that the modern technic holes have a small bevelled "lip". thus, a conector pin won't work in these, but the axles fit through fine. later ~ craig~ (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Advent Calendar Fun!
