Re: New Snow Leopard Clan Mech, Black Mamba

(...) That's a darn fine mech you've got there Mark. The technical problems alone involved in building a mech this size boggle my mind, but you pull it off with aplomb. Technically this thing is a marvel. Your joint tech is giving me the itch to (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: King Arthur Library Display

(...) Thanks Nathan, I've been back to the library a couple of times since the initial setup, and the librarians happily reported that not only were all the King Arthur books checked out, but also all their books on castles and the two books on (...)   Re: New mecha, and it's posable!

This is sweet! and it's posable! As others have said the bold colours are very cool. You're so good at using bright colours really well. Yellow would never come up on a real mecha, but you make it look convincing. I like the torso alot, it gives it (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New Snow Leopard Clan Mech, Black Mamba

(...) -snip- (...) Heh, it took me a while, but I finally made out the 'face' in this one. Nice, I always get a good chuckle when I see these huge war machines with intimidating 'faces' on them. ;-) What really impressed me the most are the weapons. (...)   Re: New mecha, and it's posable!

(...) snipped Oooh that one really looks great. I like the stubby fingers and the way the small head accentuates the body. Nice use of the ball joints indeed. Love, Sylvi (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New Snow Leopard Clan Mech, Black Mamba

(...) Wow. Great work. Love the long arms, the big feet and the shoulders. Truly remarkable. Congrats on the house and the baby, too. Love, Sylvi (21 years ago, 5-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

In lugnet.build.mecha, Mark Neumann wrote: -snip- (...) Haha! ;-) (...) Thanks Mark. (...) Thanks again! That "sniper rifle" is actually a 'light' 1 machine gun. In the future I might make a special 'weapons kits' just as a side project. Of course, (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New mecha, and it's posable!

(...) It sure does. ;-) (...) Aha! That's it, the head. Yeah, I guess you and Soren are right after all. :-D (...) Thanks Allister! I play a lot of WWII games and own several books about military equipment, so I guess creating weapons is easier for (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Why do these things always have to land in dense jungles...?

Nathan (and to all posters :-) ), Do us a favor (on dialup AND high speed)... cut down the file size on those pics. For instance: (URL) is a whoppin' 244K Compare that to: (URL) at a meager 61K Lower resolution pics with minor detail loss (if any) (...)   A new promising Battlemech builder!

After looking through recent brickshelf galleries i stumbled upon this: (URL) personally think these are all very cool and really enjoy seing more mechwarrior/battletech builders emerge. My favorites however have to be the Catapult, which really (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Why do these things always have to land in dense jungles...?

Greetings, .spacers. There has been an update for those of you who have been following the mysterious events regarding two alien probes, seen (URL) here> and (URL) here>. Almost a month after some 300 sample-gathering probes landed on Earth, Deep (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Another Classic Space Figure

(...) Inspired? Plagiarized is more like it. :-) I had thought about making him in black, but originally wanted to save that color for a gun, camera or metal detector. In the end, I scrapped them all and built the probe. I might still have enough (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Another Classic Space Figure

Ooo.. I like (and I'm flattered to see I inspired someone). I would have preferred to make mine in black, but black's very difficult to photograph. Oh yeah.. I'm still working on my ray gun and flag, so hopefully I'll have updates by the end of the (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Another Classic Space Figure

Inspired by (URL) Anne's minifig sculpture>, I decided to build one of my own - in blue. I also added a flag per Adm. Giddens (URL) comment>.   Re: New MOC: Picard I

(...) Looking good! You've got the greeblie look down, and its really starting to look like a good probe. I like those video cameras as greeblies. But I'm afraid I still have a little nitpick- I think the 'arms' and antennas are a bit to random. If (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Redesign of my microship...

(...) iT LOOKS great, nATHAN! Oops, dang caps lock... but it has the really nice lines of a civlian luxary liner. Nice job. Only I critisism I have is that I think it would be nicer if the gray was a bit less random. Still, a great job! (2 URLs) >> (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Wow. Thanks for showing us. I like the massive, bricky columns. Shows that squares are the way to go! I went looking for details on Pheidias (lost) statue. Could you tell a little bit about how you designed yours? -Erik (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)
