  Can these be flipped?

I noticed a while back that these two doors are made up of the same two pieces that have just been put together differently. Has anyone here ever tried separating the glass from the frame to see if you could reverse the door? They appear to be (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) the site looks pretty cool. I clicked the 'load catalog' link, another window opened that said "loading catalog" but nothing happened after that. -Lenny (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.castle, lugnet.gaming.brikwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

  Official Website Is Launched!

Well folks, here it is. Some of the pics are being tweaked as I write this, but 95% is complete. The last minute changes will be finished by this evening.   Re: Mechanical Memory for Computing

(...) About half-way down this page (URL) is a diagram and short discussion of a possible design for molecular level RAM. The diagram shows 2 memory cells of 2 bits each and the mechanism to select which memory cell is being read/written. In my LEGO (...) (...) <SNIP> (...) Do you happen to have any links to the molecular RAM design you are referencing? It would be very cool to compare and contrast your excellent model with the "real world" counterpart. Jona (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

  Re: Headlight Patterns

(...) I think these patterns are more like the tessellated tile patterns found in Islamic architecture; for example at the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. Isn't a square tile repeating pattern mathematically restricted to only 7 (types). Have you (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Instructions for Mecha

(...) You might also try checking out the (URL) resources> section here at .build.mecha. Many folks worked hard to provide a nice starting resource for others who want to try their hand at mecha. -Dave (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Nuhvok-Ka

(...) The second version is shown transforming in the video clip. It works essentially the same except for the bumpers and lights which must be folded under. I'll put up some more photos when the pull back motor version is completed. (...) I think (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

(...) Thanks much! I will admit the cloth wings are a bit of a cop out, but look at the original wings. I much prefer the way it is now than before. But yes, I agree, it would probably have been better made from plates. However, in my own defense, (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Nuhvok-Ka

(...) The first time I looked at this I wasn't too fond of it. My mind got wrapped around the idea of a sedan, and it really doesn't work for that, but as a dunebuggy it's a rather interesting design. The version shown in the last three images looks (...)   Mechanical Memory for Computing

Inspired by the recent pneumatic computing thread I have created some LEGO mechanical memory. It is an adaptation of a possible design for molecular level RAM.   Re: Headlight Patterns

(...) Yes, the build order is quite important. If we were to try a a giant "quilt" like the one I suggested in my response to Larry, it would be quite the task to actually fit all the 1,024-brick squares together. You would need to know in advance (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.build, FTX)
