Re: 2nd set of NBA minifigs, plus real life comparisons

(...) I've played with the legs (someone had them in their posession at LEGOWORLD), but I can't remember if they were or not. Not like it matters though, the legs are made for the basketball game, not for use as regular poseable figs. -Tim (22 years ago, 7-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) You know, they do look one piece. In fact, they kind of remind me more of Mega Block people then Lego people. Not to mention the heads look oversized. Hasta La Vista, Sean (22 years ago, 7-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: 2nd set of NBA minifigs, plus real life comparisons

(...) And I'm sure I've said this before, but I don't buy this slippery slope. Yellow has been used to represent generic non-white peoples in the past. It's just my opinion that it is incapable of representing black people. (Someone once used the (...) (22 years ago, 7-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Megatron and more

Hi All, I want to spread the word a bit beyond build.mecha that I have a nice new Megatron (non-transforming) model to show off. I'm currently weighing the possibilities of offering this and other transformer kits for sale in the future. If you know (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

I think $500 to $600 would be a hard sell, but what I might do is gather enough parts to make a handful of this set, and put them up on ebay to see what people are willing to pay for them. I would set a high enough reserve so as not to lose (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: 3 New Mecha Models for your enjoyment

Wow! I'm not paying attention! I like the way you used many of the parts on the Stinger. The Fei model is very nice. I'm still trying to determine exactly how the skirt is done, really cool, All sorts of nice details. Now, when I look at your (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) This suggestion has been floated before, I believe, and in my view it makes a fair bit of sense! There then could be lugnet.sports.soccer and lugnet.sports.basketball (or sports.nba?? I'm not sure) and sports.hockey etc... In parallel I know (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

(...) Good explanation, Anthony. I see it, but its so frustrating. I hate all the hoops the politically correct make us jump through. Makes some things that should be simple a real pain in the you know where. -Tim (22 years ago, 6-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)
