I have a modest effort that I meant for the Halloween contest, but I missed the deadline. It's based on an illustration from a recent article in American Heritage of Invention and Technology. (The contest rules said "build something spooky"... and (...) (22 years ago, 1-Nov-02, to lugnet.build)

Well, it's Autumn down here in Southern California- LL-CA has cut its open hours, kids are in school, and the only people at the beaches are the local surfers wearing their full wetsuits.
