(...) There's no way I know of to get a decent transformation and keep the Spiffcraft at its former size. By using the Bohrok joints, I was able to make it fairly poseable. (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Incredible stuff as usual Mark...worth the wait! I especially like the Vulture - ships that have a 'broken main beam' are always so interesting, and this one is definately so. It reminds me of a hunched behemoth, ready to feast on the carcases of (...) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Massive FoundryDX Update

(...) Mine too. I think all you clone haters should read my WTB market post and cough up the goods you dislike SO much. For recent sets I think I can be persuaded to pay for shipping from those giving their hated MB stuff away! =) And BTW, if the (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha and LDraw File

(...) Yep. Thanks! (...) Yeah, I see what you're saying. It's hard to do too, and eats up tiles and other smooth pieces like crazy. Good luck with your own studless creation. (...) Thanks! I'm glad you guys went so far as to build it. It's not the (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) You're right--the 3-click system is nothing at all compared to LEGO's 4-click system. It's like two different universes! (...)   Create an Island using the Container Lid from one of the $10 LEGO Dinosaur sets

I couldn't get my dinosaurs to stand securely to the box lid. Thanks John! I would have liked the mines to be a little more elaborate, but again the lack of Ice Planet acceptable parts really narrowed the choices. Still, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

I remember buying one of those megablocks mecha; first of all, the darn thing wouldn't stay together; an arm kept falling off, or some leg part, etc. The joints had three positions between zero and 90 degrees; they (...)   Re: Bot-Sighting

(...) Is that the turnpike? I've seen bots there too! You have to wonder if you play with lego too much when you see them on the freeway. I'll admit i build in my head all the time in traffic. Maybe it's time to stash some bricks in the car. . . . (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha and LDraw File

(...) right? Anyways, it's a nice vent design, I love it. I like the aesthetics of the "no studs" approach but you almost wouldn't know it was Lego. I guess it's a double sided sword.   Re: Massive FoundryDX Update

(...) Thanks. :) (...) What idealism is that? That Lego shouldn't make mecha? I think they should but I don't think they could do it justice.   Re: A turbocycle, a mech or 2, and a tank

Heya Moish, I remember seeing and really liking some of your MOCs a while ago. You have a cool, old-school style when it comes to mecha. Your Bipedal Tank and newer models remind me a lot Ben Vaughan's early stuff, as well as Colin R. Gutierrez's. (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.build)
