  Re: EVE/02: INTERCEPT AND DESTROY!!

(...) Looks Like we've got some serious girl power going on in build.mecha these days... Yeah, Eve 02 is pretty cool, man! As with most black mecha, it's hard to see all of the detail going on. But judging your mecha based on what I've seen of yours (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hey, Where is......

(...) Yep, and you can use the same reasoning to explain geographical differences in Lego activity. Down here in the deep south (Texas), we've speculated that this is the reason for the apparent increase in AFOL activity as you go further north. (...)   Re: New Battle Carrier: HMS Venerable

(...) Thanks! (...) If you're referring to the green disks in the row that has the black strip running through it, those are actually guns mounted in open broadside ports. They're designed to be more powerful than the top mounted turrets, and fire (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Hey, Where is......

(...) <<snip>> Why on earth would you need excuses? LUGNET is for fun and we all visit for the joy of it. If other earthly matters distract us from Lugnet it's no big deal. The interesting thing, though, is that every year this time it get's calmer (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hey, Where is......

I have no good excuses. I haven't been visiting lugnet too mcuh lately. (from 3 or 4 visits a day to 2 or 3 a week.) I cleaned my house and don't have LEGO everywhere anymore. Well at least it is now out of the living room (except a few displays (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Dear Lego, if you must license, how about the Dragonriders of Pern

(...) Hmm. I'm guessing that gold or bronze bricks would be more expensive than regular bricks. So I think that would make it less likely that LEGO would make them. But, they've made the technic Super Battle Droid, which has blue parts treated (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Deconstructing Sarlacc Pit

Finally was able to free up some space and time to deconstruct the Sarlacc Pit and take pics. I hope this will give those who emailed me a better idea of how they can build their own. (URL) not Lego but Star Wars related, I've added our latest (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc)

Re: Dear Lego, if you must license, how about the Dragonriders of Pern

(...) Please, this is a topic for lugnet.space. There are no dragons, talking computers or psi powers in lugnet.build.ancient. -Erik (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Hey, Where is......

(...) I think it's just the normal annual cycle and it's related to school. Last year slowed down about this time and stayed slow through the summer. It picked back up towards the end of summer. Right now a lot of students are ending their semester (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hey, Where is......

(...) I feel the same thing all over Lugnet, perhaps ppl. are going outside since it's spring for most AFOL's now? /Tobbe (URL) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Battle Carrier: HMS Venerable

(...) That ship is awesome! I especially like the (what I presume to be) giant anti-shipping weapons mounted right above the launch bay. Are those pieces mounted on the side of the ship hatches for fighters, missiles, or are they something entirely (...) (22 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Hey, Where is......

Re: Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

(...) More fine work. At first, I thought I was reading the same story over again with people passing their wives off as sisters. I always thought it was strange the the Kings in the stories say that someone could have easily slept with the women (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Luxury car

I've been throwing around the idea of a pizza delivery car that would cruise around the city of tomorrow (think Blade Runner's L.A./Fifth Element's New York/Coruscant) This isn't it: (URL) looks like a luxury car like a big mercedes or cadillac. I'm (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Fieseler Storch airplane MOC by Klaus 'eastpole' Dobisch

(...) Ben, Having seen a 3/4 accurate reproduction of a Storch at our local airshow last summer, I really enjoyed seeing this model. I like the approach to the camoflage and that spotlight(?) beside it. That looks pretty keen too. Thanks for (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)
