a good idea for beginners, is to try and work out what you what to do in your head before you start somehting new. this will prevent certain problems with taking apart and putting back together your works post soon ---...--- (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) 1970's. [That one was yellow. I still have the printed yellow 2x3 brick (and presumably, most or all of the other pieces) from that set, which was one of my first LEGO sets I ever got as a little kid.] I look forward to seeing the non-CAD (...)   Mecha-newbie!

Hi there! I've seen some pictures of LEGO Mechas and I must say they do look awesome! Is there a good way to enter the world of Mechas? I really don't know anything about them except the LEGO MOC's I've seen and honestly, most of the language goes (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Codename Carver

(...) pic, I was intrigued by the hint of a worm gear in the thigh area. My favorite parts of this mecha are the head and the feet. I also like the way you made the lower legs, with the Gundam-esque bulge. A fine model indeed! And it looks very (...)   Re: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee

(...) *whips out the trusty tape measure* It's actually just under 1:15 (1:14.88) according to my length measurements, though it's a little too wide and a little tall for its length (but we won't worry about that now, will we?) Adrian (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

RE: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee

(...) Thanks! Getting praise from all the other great truck builders out there means a lot to me. By my calculations, the Cherokee is about 1:15-1:16 scale. My Diablo is about 1:14-1:15, my 12 wides are about 1:20, and the 8 wides are about (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: PNLTC display in Edmonds, WA

(...) I know. But we had a plan. It was a good plan, reallly. You see we went in with the idea of using long range weapons to pulverize the city but. . . well here: <<excerpts from battle data recorder, unit willy nilly 001, battle of town 02363A>> (...)   Re: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee

Hi Bram, Well done! Nice details! Keep up the good work. I really like those 'small' models (small, because mine are much bigger as you know). I want to build a 1:13 scale Opel Corsa for my DAF 95XF ballast trailer truck. The car is used to drive (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: PNLTC display in Edmonds, WA

(...) I don't see any military strategy here. :-) First the rail lines need to be cut to prevent travel in and out of the city. Second, you need to do long range bombardment of strategic infrastructure targets using artillery rockets. Then you (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Codename Carver

That's a very elegant and graceful looking mecha. It reminds me of a deadly ballerina dancer or something, heh. Good work! I'm interested in the engineering of that mecha. I'd appreciate it if ya' posted any internal shots or shots of the gears and (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.us.ks)

  Re: Codename Carver

Eric, thanks man. (...) I chose to make it look "lighter" by not building the traditional mecha "skirt." Instead I thought the incased/exposed gears looked cool. (...)   Re: Codename Carver

Check out the chest and that cool effect, and the head has character, the feet are nicely done, I like them. Interesting how you incased or surrounded you gears with slopes up and down. Hey, here's some more pics, thought I'd add. (URL) mention though, if this isn't a first for cross posting mecha and trains, I'm pretty sure it's a first in intergrating mecha and train layouts.
