  MOC: Morpheus--- Revealed!

Hi! It's here: (URL) had lots of fun preparing the teaser pix (with the assistance of Photoshop and landscape generator Terragen), and truly appreciate those curious enough to reply. Any questions, comments, complaints? Taking on all comers. stuart (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

  Re: Hi!

(...) I have indeed seen your work on Brickshelf, and, not being a Bionicle fan myself, was doubly blown away! You've managed to implement what I have considered to be mostly unusable pieces in clever and dynamic ways. The valkyries, 'jello, and (...) (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another new mech builder

(...) definitely large for a first mech, as Chris stated. Impressive! And, yes, Lego _can_ get rather heavy. (...) this sounds like a good thing-- but I'm not sure that you think so. I think the larger the models get, the more limits you need to put (...) (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Hi!

I'm new to Lugnet and just wanted to say hi and test out my new posting abilities. You might have seen my stuff on Brickshelf: (URL) whole bionicle thing (oh no! I said the B-word!!) has brought me back into the Lego obsession and that's what I've (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

2nd Annual Town Building Contest opens!

Please point your browsers to (URL) see full details of the contest. I have narrowed the focus of this years contest to traditional Town models in Minifig and Classic scales, to reduce the load on me :-) and on the voters! I am also offering a prize (...)   Teaser : HMS Atlas

Greetings all... I'm posting this to both .build.military and to .pirates since both of you great groups of people have shown interest in what this new storyline has to offer... This is a teaser for HMS Atlas, a highly modified Canopus-class (...) (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Another new mech builder

(...) That's some mecha you've got there. Very ambitious for a first mecha. I definitely like the overall form. I also like some of the details (i.e. cockpit). As others have said, the color scheme is a bit busy (IMO), but hey, you build with what (...) (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Truk Squad, New MOC mech armor

  Re: Another new mech builder

(...) heh, and a scaled down rip off of Mladen Pejic's MDP cannons :) (URL) I like the shape of the upper torso. Prsonally I made it a bit silly, what with it's enourmous Pecs & shiny black nipples... Too much Ren & Stimpy + Red Dwarf :) (...) (...) (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another new mech builder

(...) Thanks! (...) Not sure if I agree, but I'm glad someone likes it :) (...) It's about 12" or two &1/3 popcans tall. it's definitely twice as heavy as I'd planned. Also about a pop can taller than my origional idea - the torso just got out of (...) (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another new mech builder

(...) Thanks! (...) Hey I asked for opinions right :) (...) yeah it isn't exactly easy on the eyes. Just happened to have one tub of yellow one tub of black & another tub of mixed yellow & black on hand when I started. (...) Those radios were the (...)   Re: War Strider, Fantsy Mecha

(...) cricket player/ guardian of the underworld type of thing going on. (??-- "what _is_ he talking about?") Very nice articulation, joints well-covered. Very cool. stuart (...) How big would this cape be? Not minifig size, I'm guessing ;^) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Another new mech builder

I like this very much! Good sense of how to use two very conrasting colours-- neither one overpowers the other, very nice balance. Also very nice proportions-- increasingly difficult as your mechs increase in size, IMO. This one seems quite large, (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Abston Church of Christ Campanile (and status)

Status of the church... Construction was completed Jan 8. I'm currently photographing it whenever I have a sunny day that happens to land on a weekend. I need sunshine because photography is otherwise problematic with such a large model in a small (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Another new mech builder

(...) Wow. This is cool. That Shoulder mounted gun is impressive. I like the shape of the upper torso. I love the design of the head. Though is seems a little small comapred to the whole mech. The legs look pretty cool too. John (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Lego Terrorists

  Re: Interfacing Znap to System

(...) in the center) to create an offset? This would let you make a 6 wide roof, and 7 wide compartment for the ZNAP. I'm working on a project with the ZNAP. As I come up with some skinning techniques, I'll try to keep them posted here. Until then, (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.build)

  Re: You asked for it!!!

(...) Huh? Perhaps trans-orange might be more available than my memory serves, but I never thought of trans-yellow as rare. I will admit though that my collection of spare space parts leans heavily towards the early 1980's sets... Plenty of (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Truk Squad, New MOC mech armor

(...) Heh, the inspiration actually was to do a base. Still in the works. Got to gel an idea together and we shall see. Also I thought this would showcase how modularity can be put to use. (...) I think Three is my favorite too, reminds me of (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
