I like this very much!

Thanks!

Good sense of how to use two very conrasting colours-- neither one
overpowers the other, very nice balance.

Not sure if I agree, but I'm glad someone likes it :)

Also very nice proportions-- increasingly difficult as your mechs increase
in size, IMO. This one seems quite large, so well done.

It's about 12" or two &1/3 popcans tall. it's definitely twice as heavy as I'd
planned. Also about a pop can taller than my origional idea - the torso just
got out of hand.

I like all the little details, too-- nice feet, nice back, often a neglected
part. Super!

I completely understand and sympathize with your building / rebuilding
technique-- there isn't one aspect of anything I've done that hasn't gone
through at least two iterations, and usually several.

Feet detail & rebuilding: Kind of serendipity on part of the foot design.
started out as independently rotating heels & toes, but after re-building the
legs I connected them & only later noticed the joints were no longer level.
This makes for a limiting torque effect so the feet won't roll completely
sideways.  It can't do the splits quite like yours, but when something heavy
does the splits like that bad thinhgs are bound to happen anyway :)
