First time poster here, so bear with me :)

A while ago I got the "must build a mech" bug and began studying
some of the amazing creations you folks have already assembled. After
fits & starts & rebuilds of practically every limb & joint, I finally
finished my mech, and was hoping for some feedback.

I have posted some pictures at
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=10721
and a few developmental pics at
http://www.osage.net/~trs13/lego/emech/

If you'd like to see a picture of some detail or another that I don't
have, let me know & I'll see what I can do.

TR Sammis II

P.S. Thanks for the encouraging words Legomaster ;)

Wow! Welcome aboard, I think you'll fit in nicely!! If that's your first mech, I'd say you're doing real good. Good size, looks impressive. I like the mount for the BFG. (those ball sockets are nice arn't they?) Love the mace!! Just a couple of (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Wow. This is cool. That Shoulder mounted gun is impressive. I like the shape of the upper torso. I love the design of the head. Though is seems a little small comapred to the whole mech. The legs look pretty cool too. John (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I like this very much! Good sense of how to use two very conrasting colours-- neither one overpowers the other, very nice balance. Also very nice proportions-- increasingly difficult as your mechs increase in size, IMO. This one seems quite large, (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) That's some mecha you've got there. Very ambitious for a first mecha. I definitely like the overall form. I also like some of the details (i.e. cockpit). As others have said, the color scheme is a bit busy (IMO), but hey, you build with what (...) (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Welcome! for a first mecha, this is really wuite good. You have some really neat shapes going there, espeicially around the leg area. I like the rail gun as other's have stated, even if it was inspired by Mladen's MDP. Overall, this is a really good (...) (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Welcome to the mecha group. (...) "must build a mech"...aka turning to the dark side... :-) (...) Again welcome to the wonderful world of mecha building :-D (...) Very very impressive first mecha. It's fairly large too. I'm not super fond of (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Theodore, man...that's awesome for a first mecha. i'm not sure to emphasize awesome or first mecha more. this is a very nice mecha, you usually don't see one this good in someone's "first mecha" folder. i know my first mecha are horrible. (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Right on TR, now we can all say hello and offer input! One thing that I like about building Mecha is that each time I build something new I learn from it. I see things I hope to improve on and the next time I build a new one I take the lessons (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
