  Re: Fluid inside Pneumatics

(...) I just want to rush out and say that I once tried to use water in my old style pneumatics parts when I was a kid. I was thinking that this could make them operate as hydraulics. However, this ruined the valves, and they have never functioned (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Technic Supercar 8448

(...) But there doesn't seem to be that many parts involved in the red body, anyway, so you can simply buy 5 8448's to achieve the same thing, right? :-) Thanks for the review of the 8448, it was very interesting to read. I think the "modularity" (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Space Original Creations Etc.

(...) It took 3-4 months off and on (mostly off) to redesign the internal structure. This really shows how strong the stud/hole connection is and how close the tolerances are to do this. Minifigs can pass thru the central corridor (you can see all (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

I'm not sure where to post this, so I figure build gets the widest audience...Also, I'm NOT proposing selling any of these items, so don't flanme me about how this should go to .buyandsell... Here in Canada, we get what appears to be a Canadian (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Technic Supercar 8448

(...) They cunningly used the old upper/lower arms and 1/2 stud shorter tie rods to create the same old toe change with suspension travel, but for two reasons (smaller knuckle, and then vertical small springs) this change is limited by the very (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My new Engine: SD70M

(...) Nice model. Big too (I visited Portland last week, and met Kim and Steve Barile for lunch and got to see this engine in person). One thing, we need a reasonable way to get weight bricks, that engine just felt WAY too light for such a (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Fluid inside Pneumatics

Hi everybody. I am into developing hydraulic suspension for my Technic Citroen DS project. Pneumatics are perfect as dampers, only that when I put pressure inside them they behave like springs-That's air's disadvantage, it compressess itself under (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Technic Supercar 8448

(...) Hi Mark, The blue car you referenced is a custom model. I think the Artist simply used the pictures of the new super car as reference and the Pneumatics is his own addition. Neat application of the concept. : ) cheers! John (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)
