I think I might be insane

This is my newest mecha, built in about a day and it doesen't exactly look up to par but I couldn't wait for the overpowering temptation to change it when i know that no matter what I can do, this is as good as i can make it. or at least until I (...)   2nd annual TOWN building contest - early warning!

Last year at this time I organised a Town building contest which turned out to be a lot of fun. I'm gearing up to do the same thing this year, beginning Feb 1st, so I'll just letting all you townies know that it's coming up (now you've had a chance (...)   LCC Command: Drislogan Clan online!

"Warning alerts begin humming as your Carona Stardecker begins its dive into the atmosphere of Darquin Prime, the home planet of the Drislogan clan. Most of them are just notices that two of your heatsink vents are clogged with sand and other small (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.cad, lugnet.announce)

  Re: NOM-02 Prototype

(...) True, but it is the only way to make a better magician. (...) I am pleased indeed, but if the actual NOM-02 turns out right I might even be happy :) (...) There has been a lot of matterial writen here lately on joint pieces, so I simply wanted (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: NOM-02 Prototype

(...) An excellent suggestion! I would have done exactly this, however, I don't have nearly enough technic pieces (yet) to create an internal frame. Rather than waiting to accumulate the pieces, I decided to build a hollow Gundam and then have it (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Tanks! Trucks! Fire Engines!....and a couple of vans. New MOCs

(...) Yes, it is a 5 wide base on the front, and 6 in the back. That is pretty much standard of what I have been doing for the last 5 years for comercial trucks and ambulances (see my other brickshelf pages) although with the 2 "older" forestry (...)   Re: NOM-02 Prototype

Bobby, Sometimes, it's a little like peeking behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz, or finding out how the magician performs his trick-- I'm still fascinated by that very first pic, and seeing inside is never quite as good. Don't get me wrong-- the (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New and kinda-new stickfig mecha wallpaper and stuff

Jeremy, As usual, I'm very impressed with your additions. The attention to detail, not only in the figures, but in the scenes borders on obsessive. In particular, I like the Sandman, and its colour- and theme- relations. There's something about that (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Blacktron I Contest Results

Wow, you guy's picked mine, in one of the most heavily contested catagories. I'm flattered, really flattered thank you. And thanks to all the guy's who put this contest together, these contests really get the creative juices going, I never would (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Tanks! Trucks! Fire Engines!....and a couple of vans. New MOCs

(...) Wow! that is some wrecker. There are a few big ones around here, but I havent seen any as 'crane-like'. They are more like the one in the movie 'Heat'. Just big & intimidating. Very nice. I like the cab on the blue & white semi & trailer. Very (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: Ever seen this brick?

(...) I had some of the old Tyco bricks, and checked it against them, to no avail. Coko I have never heard of. It is the same ABS as lego bricks though. Rodney Gentry Woodchuck County Fire and Rescue (URL) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New and kinda-new stickfig mecha wallpaper and stuff

Re: New and kinda-new stickfig mecha wallpaper and stuff

(...) Thanks Borislav. Believe it or not, the scenes were built using free tools. MLCad and L3P+LGEO provided the core Lego parts, and the scenery effects -- rocket flare, landscape, sky, etc. -- were all added in using POVRay code (MegaPOV in some (...)   Re: New and kinda-new stickfig mecha wallpaper and stuff

(...) Thanks, I modeled that landscape using nothing but MegaPOV. The shape of the ground is a heightfield based on the pattern image type, and the texturing is accomplished using slope-dependent textures. The source for the scene can be found at (...)
