  New Box Design

Just wanted to share my new box design for a MicroModel Jet (URL) I wonder about that thread on selling MOC's... :] ) Happy building all! T (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Launch of the ASC Inceptor Stormscape class Destroyer

Hi there, Jordan, Thanks for some nice, constructive feedback :) (...) The colour werepretty much based on "which coloured brick is there the most of". I'm quite happy with the amount of detail that I got, although I did find the detail of some bits (...)   Re: New MOC: Turbocycle/Mecha - The Morphosis

(...) Thanks Wilson. The hands were something I wanted to integrate right from the start, but the picture in my head wouldn't work out. I plan on trying different ideas til I get it right. The bike took probably....4 hours or so to build, I'd say. I (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Zero 5 - Ground Attack

(...) I've found that the throwbot gear boxes eliminate the usual sliding of the worm gear on its shaft, making joints more solid. But the real secret to using them to make a super rigid joint is... nope, can't tell you ;-) (...) Mazinger, Getta (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Zero 5 - Ground Attack

(...) Once I finished my Falcon, my StarWars motivation declined - I'll never build anything related to StarWars again. But there are plenty of mecha themes to try, no reason to stick with one. "K" (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Launch of the ASC Inceptor Stormscape class Destroyer

That's an excellent ship! Great detail, and a color scheme that works quite well. While most of this ship is great, I don't really like the propulsion design.. Especially the wire coming out of it, it makes it unsightly.. I guess it's just a matter (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.publish, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: New MOC: Turbocycle/Mecha - The Morphosis

Hey Chris, that's pretty nifty, it looks great in mecha form. It's cool how you managed to use the "mf legs as hands" technique in the small bike. How long did it take you to build that? I can imagine the patience it takes to build a regular bike, (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Daytona Charger

I took Bram's Dodge Charger and made it a Daytona Charger. This car has always been one of my favorites, and here's my Lego version of it. The model took about two nights to build. (keep in mind that these are *my* nights - 5 pm. to about 5 AM) (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build)

Re: Zero 5 - Ground Attack

(...) Interesting, I have been toying with the throwbot gear boxes for the past 3 months and I am not happy with the end result. There seems to be 2 to 3 degree freedom of free rotation allowed in the gear because the worm gear is a tad too far out (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Whoa! I was NOT expecting that! Hmmmm....looks like it's a race to build the next big thing. (You, me, Bryce). Congrats! Hitting that height and keeping it standing is quite an accomplishment! -Dave (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
