  Re: GG Mech update

(...) I could imagine GG on the cover of OMNI (they still publish that magazine?). Those ankle joints look great but can they withstand the torque? The torso looks hefty, the hips and legs might double that. I don't think you've made anything this (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Red Baron's Albatros DIII

(...) Dear Ben, I like your model alot (had to look twice at the bended knighs lance - or is that in fact a brown tube?), but are you maybe able to take new pictures? These are a little fuzzy and especially too dark to give a chance to get aware of (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

It looked OK to me--but then again, in this group we're more likely to be aware of such Komet-type (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Me163 - WWII German Rocket Fighter

Instead of wasting my time studying for finals, I decided to do something useful and built another plane instead. This MOC is a WWII-era Me163 rocket fighter (Germany). It was hard getting all the curves to look right, but I feel it came out fairly (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military) !!

Re: Escher Hands (was Re: Gone soft...)

(...) Mwa ha ha ha! I mean, um... no, whatever gave you that idea? Seriously though, those are well done. The slopes and hands do a credible impression of rising from the page, and it's instantly recognizable, which is the usual point of a famous (...)   Red Baron's Albatros DIII

Hi everyone, I want to share my most recent creation: Manfred von Richthofen’s Albatros DIII bi-plane. It is my second entry in the ISCC contest. Pictures of the plane can be found here: (URL) tell me what you think of it. Thanks, Ben Ellermann (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.build) !

(...) Excellent work! Possibly a record for the number of complaints about one's own work, too ;-) Cheers Richie Dulin (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Escher Hands (was Re: Gone soft...)

(...) So this suggests to me that the translation of media should, to preserve the meaning of the piece, involve a translation of what is depicted. In other words: why not show the two hands building each other? TWS Garrison (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)
