  MOC: The Cypher

Hi all, The Cypher is my most recent mecha. These pics were taken with a 35mm camera, so excuse the blurriness. I was simply trying to make a reverse-kneed minifig-scale mecha. I'm really beginning to love the grey and tan color scheme. (URL) (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Blacktron Contest entry

(...) Was I the only kid that absoloutely hated that? Renegade, Battrax and Alienator all had pins pointing forward, but Invader had to have 'em pointing the other way. Annoyed me that I could do two cockpits back to back, couldn't put Invader's (...) (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Blacktron Contest entry

(...) That isn't really necessary- note that the pins and holes are different in various models. The Battrax cockpit has holes in the back, and the Invader cockpit has pins in its back. And now that I've looked at the official instructions, it does (...) (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: bullfrog

(...) Excellent. I think you did a very nice job of making rounded shoulders. Reminds me of one of Masamune Shirow's Landmates from Appleseed. I don't recall very many Technic scale mecha before. Cool. ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  bullfrog

Well, I mentioned this one in an aside a while back, and even though I'm only posting it today, it was really done a few weeks ago, so I can't in all conscience enter it in the contest.... I guess I'll have to do something else. Anyway, while I move (...) (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Merry Christmas from The Brick Testament

(...) minifigs and other elements continue. I think you are establishing a reputation as one of the geniuses of LUGNET. Two technical questions--in what set did you get the dark grey cones that form the ram's horns in the nativity scene? And were (...) (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Merry Christmas from The Brick Testament

Your nativity set is beautiful. It's only unfortunate that you weren't able to make the website more family friendly. I would've loved to show some of these stories to my kids, if you hadn't chosen to interpret things so graphically. Would you mind (...) (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.ancient)

(...) Wow! Thanks Derek. IMO I'm a bit underqualified but as you can see Dave is pumped up and I'm hoping Eric makes it too. (...) Now let's not get carried away :-) He's only worth maybe $3.25 for a peek. thanks for the praise. Later, Bryce (...) (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.events.brickswest)

  Re: Magnetic Levitator

(...) Excellent job Chris! I love what I see! When can we expect to see you destroy most of Tokyo with this device? :) (...) Excuse me? I don't need to be built and you know this...sheesh! Maybe I'll just go off and build me a Lego Sapiens or (...) (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: Mecha Worksop on hold :^(

(...) Chris, I guess you could speak to either Bryce or myself since we'll likely plan it together. We'll get something working, Chris! Perhaps if I send out a couple of emails, we can get something like this going with a few other mecha builders. (...) (23 years ago, 7-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.events.brickswest)
