  Re: Steerable town rig

I need to chime in again. This little vehicle is fun to play with too! I haven't had so much fun playing with a LEGO vehicle since I built my 8459 (highly recommended if you like Technic). Thanks again Fredrik, I sincerely wish I had the mechanical (...) (25 years ago, 22-May-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad)

Duane Hess wrote in message ... (...) Here are some ideas: I was noticing the canopy from the Naboo fighter is somewhat similar to the freezing tubes in Lost in Space and Alien. They might be just a touch small. Also 1 trans blue and gray half (...) (25 years ago, 22-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Lego Dragons

(...) I haven't done any ldraw pix of dragons being quite content with my stock versions of one black and four greens. I'm assuming you want something different either differently sized and / or posed than the standard dragons. And not that I'm (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) It (...) Quick Visual for your benefit. Imagine the canopy stood on end, with the larger portion (with the hinge) toward the top. Now paste (figuratively) it to an available wall, and voila, instant deep freeze. I do like the idea of the car (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minifig Cryo Chamber

(...) Pretty cool. If the unit is against the wall, you could actually build it into the wall, to save a bit of floor space. With the wall extended by one stud past the black frame, you'd still get a bit of white sticking out. I like using the (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minifig Cryo Chamber

(...) <snip> (...) Hmm. I haven't seen the ldraw pic yet, not until I get home. Kinda busy this weekend too. But FWIW, if you want a really small window, and don't want to use those canopies (cuz you might want more ships) try using one of those car (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minifig Cryo Chamber

(...) Since I don't have any of the trans cylinder halves, I trying out Tom's suggestions. I was reluctant to go with it because of the room it eats up. (Space travel is expensive, you know). I'm posting a version of the chamber in the cad.dat.ideas (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minifig Cryo Chamber

(...) Hehe. Ahh... blinking lights... Enya... zzz.. I was thinking the same thing. Also the 4x6x2? older style space canopies work well, if you're not using them. But any full-sized canopy should do it. And IIRC you won't need to fold their legs. (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minifig Cryo Chamber

(...) About six ice cubes and a paper cup works pretty well for short trips. For longer trips, I take two Explorien-style clear blue half-cylinder pieces to form a 4x4 hollow canister which a minifig can squeeze into with its leg folded. I put 1x4 (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.build)

I am trying to build a compact minifig cryo chamber for those deep space treks. Does anyone have some ideas they would be willing to share? Duane (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.build)
