Decided to release Himeji Castle today instead the day before Brickfest 2001. What can I say ? It was always the castle that I wanted to build with Lego but never could do it justice till now. I am glad I took my time (about 3 months and many (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.loc.jp) !!

(...) I sorted by color for many years, but I don't think it's a good idea. I recently switched to sorting by type of element, and find it to be much more useful. (...) It's all a matter of choice. Your choice. I've found that as my collection expands, my sub-catagorization has grown too. Exponentially. I sort brick out first. I've been working on my latest ship, which includes a raised barbette facing aft, and I think I may have stumbled on a SNOT (...) Thanks! My mom currently has possession of 2/3 of my lego sets so mostly what I have to work with is Technic and Model Team pieces, hence the predominant beams-and-pins design of my big mech.
