  Re: Building exhaustion

Just imagine the average child that does not the legostamina that we do. They must get exausted even sooner. How did TLG solve that problem? Town jr. Of course it could be the other way, Town jr. atrophied our building skillz. Jorge Rodriguez (...) (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Building exhaustion

Look, don't be a smartass. I live for today; I rush through life so I can savor it quicker. Let's not argue about that. Honestly. This is a Star Wars Lego board, not aa 'piss of Jonas' board. (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Building exhaustion

No, I meant ten or fifteen minutes. It took me around fifteen minutes to build the Mos Espa Pod Race. (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Building exhaustion

I'm sort of a 'speed builder'. I'm in such a hurry to see the finished product that I hurry to finish. I never prolong anything. I live in the now. (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Building exhaustion

Perhaps he meant 10 fifteen minute periods, which would be 2.5 hours, about the same as you;-) (...) (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Fantastic Book for Building Ideas

Found a book in a discount book store, "Architecture Drawings." ISBN 90054960418 from the Pepin Press. It is a collection of 400 pages of 19th Century prints. If you are a fan of those as I am, worth it just for those! They are all black and white, (...) (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Building exhaustion

(...) Probably not as hard as the Super Car was. Or the Big Rig Truck - the 1700+ piece set. That was an exhausting set. Dumping all those pieces out in not-so-little piles, and then having to search through them to find pieces. And both those sets (...) (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Building exhaustion

(...) You managed to build all three racers in 15 minutes?!?! I did Anakin's one night by itself, and it took me over 20 minutes. I spent close to 2 hours on the other two the next night. -Jonathan (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Building exhaustion

I know what you mean, Todd. I shelled out $89 for the Mos Espa Pod Race and had it built in about ten-fifteen minutes. The same thing used to happen with the UFO sets. The only System sets that ever gave me even an inch of challenge were the larger (...) (25 years ago, 8-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Building exhaustion

(...) I just thought of another thing -- little sets almost never tire me out -- and neither do little within a big set. What really exhausts my brain is the large building instruction booklets -- because I have to compare each step with the (...) (25 years ago, 8-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

Re: How small can you make a bike with a working piston?

Fredrik: Great job! I have a question: Can L-Draw or POV export any 3D file types that will work with other rendering/animation programs? Say maybe a DXF, 3DS, OBJ, DWG, etc?? Thanks! Eric (25 years ago, 7-May-99, to lugnet.build)

How small can you make a bike with a working piston?

I have recently been trying to make vehicles as small as possible, while still retaining some technic functions. To make a small motorcycle with a working piston was a challenge. I basically started out to make a scooter-like thing, but ended more (...) (25 years ago, 7-May-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: And now a lovely beverage (was Re: Golden Gate Bridge cables)

(...) It's hard to tell from the catalog picture (see (URL)), but it sure looks like there's a stud on top of that crystal ball in the witch's hand. Steve (25 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.build)
