  Re: Building habits

(...) This is a very timely subject for me. I'm a life-long Non-sorter with only 1 or two break downs in my career. I've always had the draws but never sorted, until recently that is. I couldn't stand it any more, scrabbling through box's of lego to (...) (24 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Perfect Universal Set - Was: Building habits

(...) While I agree a universal set to please everyone is impossible, I think a universal set to please anyone is impossible. I used to use pneumatics a lot but none of my latest models have any (apart from my bulldozer). What we should turn our (...) (24 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

Perfect Universal Set - Was: Building habits

James Simpson wrote that he was a tinkerer that liked the old Universal Sets. Some years ago, I found a beat up 8062 case with all the parts still in bags. I used to take it on trips to help relax on business trips. Then I got into Mindstorms and (...) (24 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Building habits

(...) Your display case reminds me of a fond childhood memory. When I was young, my mom managed to come how with a 5 or 6-foot high revolving plastic pink display stand from some store that kept L'eggs or some such feminine product on it. I kept (...)   Re: Building habits

(...) I've come to the conclusion that I'm really a tinkerer. I've also come to the conclusion that having too many Lego is burdensome for me because I want the experience to be relaxing, but it definitely is not when I have to unpack and lug around (...)   Re: Torso stickers

(...) Clubs? nah, LEGO doesn't make clubs :^) The take I have on it is, at the moment is a bunch of us would like to get the Castle stickers done before branching out into other themes.   New MOC: Giant Spaceplane!

My spaceplane (which some of you may have been following in my Brickshelf folder) is complete! A full 110 studs wide and as long, this spaceplane is chock full of details.   Re: Minigun for Mecha Transport!!!

(...) As tonight's Stargate is rubbish I thought I'd check. And my conclusion is you are indeed wrong. The barrels are close but do not touch and are free to rotate. Perhaps you got it mixed up with another similair part, good try though. Steve (24 years ago, 1-Apr-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minigun for Mecha Transport!!!

Ummm... There are four reasons why I did leave the the technic bushs there: A) I like to stick to a specific colour scheme when I build my models. My mecha transport will have a grey, dark-grey, and yellow colour scheme. I don't want any black on (...) (24 years ago, 1-Apr-01, to lugnet.build)
