  Re: Pallas Spaceworks Product Announcement

(...) Thanks! I was wondering if the presentation was effective, as I rarely get any feedback on that. (...) Well, its a mix... In the case of the 9000 series, I built a series of mockups and proof-of-concept models before LCADing them, but the (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

RE: X-Planes - building and inspiration

(...) Ahhh, Ooohhh.... The first link is an amazing quality rendering. I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't a good quality photo. The tires on the rotor fan housings gave it away. Are they DUPLO/TOOLO models? The windshield from the Model team (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

  X-Planes - building and inspiration

Having just built a Bell Aerospace X-22A experimental aircraft ( (URL) I decided to do a little research about X-Planes on the web, possibly to find more inspiration. Here's what I found: At NASA, the history of X-Planes: (URL) sure to look at the (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: LEGO Window & Door History - Part 3

(...) A question about windows: In the late 80s I bought Calssic Windows packs from S@H. The pack included 1x1, 1x2, 2x1, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 and 3x5 red windows (I think 2 of each). Do you recall the set numebr and piece count? (26 years ago, 30-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Pallas Spaceworks Product Announcement

(...) I'm for a past-pick on Pallas Spaceworks, and a new feature on the Star Wars stuff. You could probably roll them into one, focusing on the Star Wars models but mentioning the newer virtues of Pallas SW. Karim, do you have any plans of "beefing (...)   Re: Pallas Spaceworks Product Announcement

(...) That's incredible. I'd love to see an animation to help me visualize the movement. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge :) BTW, I'm wondering how you (and others) feel about your Pallas Spaceworks pages being featured as a new CLSotW pick... It's too (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

LEGO Window & Door History - Part 3

I got a request recently to say a few more things about LEGO windows. I have to admit, though, that I don't know too much about the newer 1990's windows, and maybe someone else can take the baton for Part 4 -1990's windows (Town Jr.), for some of (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: people i would most like to build with...

(...) I'd feel pretty idea-less too. I'd meet Karim and Terry and Sproat etc. and I'd be like, "Uhhbuhduhbuhhduhheb...lubbll..." :o) You know, this is what's so great about the modern age -- thanks to things like LDraw, LDLITE, POV, digital (...)   RE: Motorized 5571

Doh! RC off course is a misnomer. I guess this would be a IRC Car. The remote control was a quick kludge...if I didn't have so many other projects in my head I would spend some time on a cool remote. This works well inside and outside but does tend (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Pictures of (very?) old Lego Idea book

I would date the book between 1958 and 1962 because the modern Lego brick was created in 1958, and the Lego wheel was first created in 1962 (I didn't see any wheels in the pictures). May be someone else can round it down to a more exact date. P.S. (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Motorized 5571

(...) Er, ah, never mind. I see it was done with 2 RCXs and IR communication. How well does that work non-line of sight? What would be really cool would be to build a steering wheel coupled to a rotation sensor (geared way down so one wheel turn is (...)   Re: Motorized 5571

How did you RC it? I have motorized a number of Technic models, including using a Micro motor to allow steering, but have always used a battery box and long connector wires to control it. (...)   Motorized 5571

Was: RE: Who had the 5571 Inventory? I just got my 5571 last week and it was not only a very cool and detailed model, but a lot of fun to modify! I made it into a very cool RC Truck by adding a steering motor and a motor to the rear wheel carriage. (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.build)

  Re: fright knights,dark forest
