Hi Jakob,
Neither .pirates nor .boats are terribly well frequented (I saw this because I
am nosy). When announcing an MOC add lugnet.announce.moc to your newsgroups and
set followups to the other places eg. here you would post to lugnet.pirates,
lugnet.boats and lugnet.announce.moc and set followup to lugnet.pirates and
lugnet.boats.
To embed an image you need to select FTX mode in the web interface and post a
picture by using
<<imgurl>>
eg.
<<http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jazzjake/Le-Castor/thumb/galleaux_ship_le_castor_01.jpg_thumb.jpg>>
gives
but remember to try not to link to images bigger than about 512x384 since that
is annoying for your readers.
A link can be made like
<linkurl link description> eg
<http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=208150 BS gallery>
gives BS gallery.
As for the MOC, I’m not too familiar with sailing vessels but that has a lot of
very nice detailing on it and is a great MOC. The breasts at the front and the
anchor design are particularly clever and I really like the line around the
hull.
